A furious New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie unloaded on House Speaker John Boehner Wednesday following the cancellation of a promised vote for Hurricane Sandy relief, saying the people of his state were “played last night as a pawn” by his own Republican Party.
“There is only one group to blame for the continued suffering of these innocent victims,” Christie said after the 11th-hour decision to scrap the vote. “The House majority and their speaker, John Boehner. This is not a Republican or Democratic issue. National disasters happen in red states and blue states and states with Democratic governors and Republican governors. We respond to innocent victims of natural disasters not as Republicans or Democrats, but as Americans. Or at least we did until last night.”

I have a quick question: Did you read the article or read the governor's comments at all?
And now a second, somewhat less quick, question: Why did you type the word "Obama" twice here?

well, what I'm getting at is mostly about how the aid has not been received, not a dime yet. I'm trying to figure out what is really going on, because, you remember right before the election, when Christie was all lovey dovey with Obama, and there were pictures of them taking a long walk on the beach, and Christie was saying that Obama and FEMA were doing a great job...
I'm working on a conspiracy here, it's not so much about what Christie said (Yes I know he is attacking Boehner)

Re: What the hell is going on here? (Sandy Aid Package)
Here is from Nov 2nd....
Seriously, remember the decently accepted theory, that Sandy helped Obama win the election? The narrative before the election was "Obama wins with Sandy clean-up, handled way better than Katrina" 2 months later, the narrative is "Boehner loses"? I just want to know, how did Obama "win"? (not conspiracy related).

It's over -- the election, that is -- and we're already back to business as usual in Palm Beach County: favorable official treatment of questionable businesses, hypocritical maneuvering by powerful lawyers, and rampant dissembling by deep-pocketed merchants of crap.
What's that you say? Election Day is Tuesday? Don't kid yourself. The postman always rings twice: First Katrina, now Sandy. Like twin bookends to his two presidential runs, the two hurricanes made Obama's opposition look lame and the O-man reassuring, while Sandy had the added benefit of crowding lying Mitt Romney out of the limelight.
The capper: New Jersey Gov. (and Mitt's keynoter!) Chris Christie, his state bearing the brunt of the storm, comes out with a ringing endorsement of the president's response. The Fat Man has sung.

That was my initial, some might say "knee-jerk," reaction and then I thought about it some more. Turns out "conspiracy theory" was the right answer.

I don't know what's going on. It's probably a combination of a few things and none of them have anything to do with the president. If the conspiracy theory is that the Republicans are punishing Christie, that's stupid for two reasons: (1) there are other states involved in getting the relief (like, I don't know, New fucking York) and (2) the Republicans are making themselves look bad.
I've also heard all the usual nonsense about Christie costing Romney the election, so hopefully you have some better conspiracy theory to offer.

of course, your snarky comment also means that Obama/Democrats are too stupid to instigate Republican infighting, or that he/they are above it???

That's pretty convoluted, even for you. And your advice is sage advice, but unless you have him on skype...I dont think he is speaking.
Granted, I would have no trouble picturing you yelling at your screen...which, actually, makes a hell of a lot of sense, now that I think about it. Youre yelling right now, arent you?
Pretty sure this is the stupidest thread you've ever made here Phatty. Well done. And thanks.

Looks like partisan politics by the Repugnatants to me. They would probably vote no on federal funds for a new school in Newtown too, if it were a federal issue.

Yeah, I don't think it's that either.

Re: What the hell is going on here? (Sandy Aid Package)
well, the obvious part is that the bill was loaded with pork spending. There was millions of dollars for an Alaskan fishery, and millions of dollars for wetland restoration in Illinois, and on and on....
but there is a lot more to it.

Well, as I said quite clearly, "what you wrote, maybe said, was convoluted".
You also told him to think before speaking. I pointed out your mistaken use of terms.
Further, I pointed out that I think this is one of the stupidest threads you've ever made, but I agree, I probably would need to provide evidence for that, and I admit I will not question your authority on the subject of trolling.
As far as those poor people falling through the ice, it was definitely hard to watch them break rules most learned when they were five. That seems off topic though to me...but again, you're the expert on such things.

eh, within 20-percentage points or so ...
the source from the picture:
The GOP’s negative rating jumped to 45% with just a 30% positive rating. Democrats have seen a bump—44% now see the party positively, with just 35% seeing it negatively.

building an ideology around stats from anonymous MS-Paint pics discovered on Google Images is usually an ill-advised strategy (even the really legit looking ones)
