Re: CLASSIC CITIES: Moscow [19.8.12] V15-P9 GFX

Post by Oneyed »

it is about 14 years when I am out of school and I did not use russain often. so I hope I understand this right :)

yesterday I read anything about Moscows regions on russian sites. but was tired, so now I write you my founds:

the name region/square/county of Moscow is "rajon" ("j" pronounced as "y" in day). I will use Basmannyj rajon as example.
it is Basmannyj rajon and Basmannoe is self-administration. this is clear. but it seems that maybe Basmannoe is municipal corporation under federal goverment rule. but this is not clear for me...

what is clear - if you can be exact use "rajon" or english name for it where it is mentioned after rajon name. so Basmannoe would be Basmannyj rajon.

here is map after my research. it is a little larger as yours. the names needs any work, for example I used "j" not "y" in the end of name. I do not know if it is fine in english, but it is close to russian "й"

EDIT: please take this as a help. I do not mean this that you need to redrawn all your map.

Bonuses look good, but the bottom +5 should probably be lowered to a 4. Otherwise, you're good to go. Can't wait to play this one.

Thanks nolenfan5311 for that.

By request of the mapmaker, this map is on vacation. Please contact any CA to return this map to the Main Foundry when an update is made. Please be aware that gameplay standards may be further reviewed upon return to the Main Foundry and may be required to once again pass through gp scrutiny. Should the map be found to be deficient in any way the GP stamp may be removed.

Thank GoldenEye for getting this going again...

severroe chernatova deleted
danilovsky left as it on both sides of the river
donskoy merges two terts, which should achive this...
so it's sensible to reduce the number of regions by 1, bringing down the number of non-neutral regions to 35.

because this region is not so large and there are more regions. look at map posted by me at the start of page 11.

i knew you'd make reference to your map
I am happy with the regions as they are; gameplay stamped issued, and i wanted to keep this map to about 48 terrs.
So unless several others make an absolute demand...it remains AS IS. :)

Yakaminka colour is heading into Akademicheskiy. Bottom left pic in frame- can you tone down the blue sky, it looks like it is a wonderful day but out of place.

cairns, I only have one thing that I might change and this would be completely up to you as it really is aesthetics would be the gold circle in the middle. Could you make it the same thickness as the lettering in the title?

the correct spelling is nagornyy, not nagomyy.

in the legend, instead of referring to outer region bonuses, i suggest outer district bonuses or outer suburb bonuses. this is not only more appropriate for a city map, but avoids confusion with other uses of the word region in cc. similarly, inner region pair can be replaced by inner suburb pair.

Both of those now fixed.

changed to "outer district bonuses" and "inner suburbs pair"

changed in the above version 19.
