I'm working on preseason rankings and scheduling over the weekend and hoping to get the season openers off on Tuesday.

The preseason top-25 has been released with TheCrown and his Vanderbilt Commodores coming in as the No. 1 team. Reigning NCAA champion Duquesne starts the 2012-13 season ranked No. 5, while last year's top regular-season team Illinois comes in at No. 9. The BIG-10 is loaded with four ranked teams in the top 15, led by Indiana under the direction of coach agentcom, who moves over to a major conference after a big year at Toledo.

Working to finalize the schedule tonight and hopefully getting first games out in the next 24 hours.

The preseason top-25 is based on a mix of CC ranking and last year's accomplishments.

The early-season top-25 will remain frozen for the first three weeks of the regular season before we release our first RPI rankings (they'll be updated each week) based on 2012-13 regular-season results.

By the way, Fresno State opened the 2012-13 season today with an unlikely 99-48 win over Texas. I went first in all three, with unlimited reinforcements. There was nothing poor Cazmart could do on his home court.
