Good luck Andy & Lack - I have some great memories in the foundry, and a couple of maps to play on from it. Andy - I always appreciated the involvement & great critique you showed when I was active in the foundry. Lack - I'm glad you decided to make this site - I made a lot of friends, and a new hobby (maps, not Risk). Honestly good luck guys.

Re: The Revolution Begins
I know I haven't been very active lately..
But I never thought I would see the day that jefjef would be webmaster.
GL to both lack & andy, both did a great job and hooked us to this game we call CC.

On the contrary my friend. It just shows that El_Jefe is a good judge of character.

I started to play CC and was just getting into it. My son got the bug so I helped him get set up as well. He got hooked and soon begged me for premium membership (how could I refuse?). Then he played for a few months but, as kids do, eventually got distracted (with 20+ games on the go). I played his account so he wouldn't deadbeat all his games and soon I was hooked on the speed games and improving his ranking. Suddenly five years and 1500+ games go by. The current admins suggested I revert back to my ID for this transition as he had some personal info in game comments and plenty of seven year old fits of rage after a run of bad luck.
That is all. Feel free to let the conspiracy theories start to fly.
Awesome. Our new administrator is an admitted multi. This does not bode well....

So lets mark this date in history.
Lets give him a year or two, lets see how many active users we can get
In total there are 635 users online :: 503 registered, 54 hidden and 78 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)
Most users ever online was 1533 on Mon Feb 16, 2009 4:45 pm

A Challenge! I like it.
I'd like to see us break 1,000 (users online) by July 1, 2013.
I want to set a new record for most users ever online before the end of 2013.
Of course this all assumes the world doesn't end next month...

Aren't you better off checking the scoreboard to see how many active users there have been in the last month?

Re: The Revolution Begins
We need consensus if there is to be a challenge. The total number of active players (last 30 days) is bigger and subject to less random fluctuations. Is that the preferred measuring stick? I'm up for anything but it is always better to have a goal in mind.
20,000 active players? That is a nice round number.
How about we shoot for 17,000 before July 1 and 20,000 by Dec 31 then have a giant tournament to celebrate.

Re: The Revolution Begins
I would say the scoreboard is a better representation.
You may not even know if you break 1000 online at any time. You'll only definitely know (while not being there) if it is a new record.

Re: The Revolution Begins
Wow, this is, like he said, bitttersweet, sad to see the old leave but glad to see new improvements come in. The only this I ask is to get GLG out of the CC #1 spot, seems to me there should be a limit on how long you can be there. Plus there are many people who think he is a multi. Oh well, I leave that subject and move on to the next. Congrats, I know I will like our new leaders! Bye to the old guys and welcome the new, hope you make some great improvements on this site. I also thank the old guys for this site in the first place, IT IS AWESOME.

Maybe the fact that he was a guerrilla war expert? Also a useful CC skill...
All in all, very excited about this Revolution!
Suggestion: cater some additions to the tournament organisers; such as removing [player]V[/player], or revamping the invites system, etc.

Re: The Revolution Begins
Guys and girls, lets keep this on topic and civil please
As El_Jefe`s next door neighbour, I welcome the change, always nice to have people from this side of the continent on the team.
And of course its great to see my old boss promoted, I can tell CC is still in great hands and look forward to the changes and improvements the next few months will bring

Wow that's big news! First I'd like to thank Lack and Andy for their work and for building Conquer Club from scratch. And of course I also want to wish best luck to El Jefe and his team. Lots of success!

I think that's what he meant. Setting a new record.

Best out in the open now, rather then 6 months down the line.
Fresh faces, fresh impetus....
Everyone should look on the positive side and give the guys a chance to improve things before starting up old complaints.
