There's a proper thread for map ideas. You should post it there or else this section of the forum for maps which are actually in development will start getting too cluttered.

I am pointing this out because it seems that it's becoming a trend to post ideas here.

I dont like the one way though. make golf carts that can attack each other and paths inbetween holes that can attack both ways. circus maximus gameplay is horrible and Im tottally against oneway

I don't like one way either - was thinking more of being able to attack from neutral territories (gallaries or rough) much like the seas in alexander's empire...

Ive already created a colored board game which some of my family and I play on. Its of the world made up of 71 places divided among 8 continents. Colored with shades of tan is North America made up of 14 places worth 7 armies, shades of yellow is Central America made up of 5 places worth 3 armies, shades of orange is South America made up of 5 places worth 3 armies, shades of blue is Europe made up of 10 places worth 7 armies, shades of green is Asia made up of 17 places worth 9 armies, shades of brown is Africa made up of 8 places worth 5 armies, shades of yellow is Middle East made up of 5 places worth 3 armies, shades of purple is Australia made up of 7 places worth 5 armies. One would just have to see a picture of it to understand the basics of how it looks and what the places are but Im not a computer wiz to know how to go about making it.

U MAPMAKERS!! MAKE THIS MAP FOR ME AND OTHERS

Post by taranwandrer »

my user name is taran wanderer...name borrowed from the chronicles of prydain, by lloyd alexander.

fantasy books....kinda like "lord of the rings light"

they always had these really cool maps in the books to help you understand the terrain.

some mapmaker who knows how to do it...please make a map of this.
ask me of flashlegs or troubleigotto for feedback on what should be the areas of "continent" troop awards.

off the top of my head...it would be cear dalben area...caer datyhl area....annuvin castle area..(bad guy)....llyr castle island....northern realm of fair folk.....caer cardern, realm of king smoit, and any other way yu want to talk about.

someone please do this...

here is link to map drawing..
PS....there are four other books that have maps that give details to this map.

The following have interesting shapes (I looked and none of them are shown on the Developemenal atlas, so I'll post them here):

Angola
Dem. Rep. of Congo (Zaire)
The countries surrounding the Nile
Namibia
Land surrounding the Baltic (Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Eur. Russia, Baltic states)
Baltic Sea (Where the sea is the territories)
Baffin Island
Hudson Bay (Where the bay is the territories)
Mediterrainean Sea (Where the sea is the territories)
Michigan
Alaska
Hawaii
Florida
Massachusets
Maryland
Louisiana
Ottawa (the way it bends at the south end rocks)
I would really appreciate your opinions over here.

Hey I know I may sound geeky but what about a Star Wars board with Imperial Star destroyers and rebel fighters. All the planets can be there and you can addanything else.

(it might be copyed so it might not be able to become a map but i just thought that i would suggest it)

Battle of Thermopylae

Post by Utafar »

Or for those who don't know what the f*** that is.
It's the battle depicted in the movie 300

As of now I'm not able to make this a good map nor do I have the time. So I'm just putting it out there for someone more capable to consider.

I think it's an awesome battle to turn into a risk map. So many possibilities. Plus the battle and concept of it being a risk map kick ass entirely by themselves.

If no one decides to make it I'll try to find time to work on it myself.

I don't know if this has been posted already, but I think that a Magic Kingdom map (Disneyworld) would be really cool. Each land (frontierland, tomorrowland etc.) could be a continent, and different rides/shows could be countries. I'd do it myself, but have absolutely no idea where i would start.

nope

The Pangea ultima map thread is about the future.

Perhaps a Laurasia+Gondwanaland map would be cool. (before the first Pangea.)
