Welcome Comrades to the 78th edition of the Dispatch :)

And welcome to the first Newsletter in the Announcements forum! You'll find all of our new issues here. All old issues will be moved back to the Newsletter Issues forum. In addition, you can expect to see a Dispatch on the 1st and 16th of every month. So we'll see you once again in the Announcements forum on September 16th ;)

In recent news, player [player]mhennigan[/player] won Conquer Cup III! mhennigan is the first former Conqueror to have won the Conquer Cup! Maybe he'll rack up enough trophies to become the one with the most Super Achievement Medals! Only time will tell! In addition to Conquer Cup III's ending, Conquer Cup IV is taking sign-ups! Just yesterday I participated in a spontaneous Live Chat Trivia Contest and won a Conquer Cup entry myself! Maybe you should all keep an eye out for more spontaneous prize-awardings and contests!

In other news, if you haven't checked it out yet, take a look at the new CC's Declining thread with a thorough analysis by [player]Mr Changsha[/player]. Or, if you're looking for a little fun and a little mental stimulation, maybe you can figure out where in the world Evil Semp is. Or maybe you're looking to sharpen your skills as a world dominator? Sign up for training at the SoC Training Grounds! Whatever it is you're looking for, I'm sure you can find it around Conquer Club!

Well, this issue we've got some exciting stuff! My favorite has got to be new Discussions Moderator, [player]kentington[/player]'s brand new comic series, Comic ConquerClub! Hopefully you'll see a new one each issue! :) In addition, we've got a whopping three Foundry articles from [player]koontz1973[/player], one of which about the recent debacle regarding former Entertainment Contributor, [player]DiM[/player], and his maps. Plus, we've got a juicy Tournament section, including another stunning Tournament Tips with [player]DaveH[/player], a look at the All Comers Cup and the Newcomers Cup 3 with [player]skillfusniper33[/player] and [player]DJ Teflon[/player], and a great interview with the Master of Suggs himself, [player]agentcom[/player]!

Enjoy the fruits of our laboring fingers!

[spoiler=Interrogation of agentcom]Hi agentcom!

Hello there!

Q. You've recently joined The Fallen, one of CC's up and coming clans. What do you guys hope to achieve?

First of all, I hope that we can show that we are in fact “one of CC’s up and coming clans.” It’s very competitive out there, but we have a solid core group of players that I think can play at the top levels. We’re definitely still working out some kinks, but our compelling victory in our first clan war was quite a good start. I'd say that our goal over our first few clan wars is to make it into the top 10.

Q. What is your favorite map and game settings?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE All Your Base. Before that it was Waterloo. Those are the only two maps that I’ve ever tried to “specialize” in because I had to pick a “home” map for some tourneys I was in. I like to think of myself as an all-around player who can compete on any map and settings combination. As for the settings, I generally prefer foggy, chained, escalating games. My favorite game type is probably 1v1, but playing with a good dubs partner like you ([player]Benzorrr[/player], [player]Xman5151[/player], [player]chapcrap[/player] or [player]Jippd[/player] would be a very close second.

Q. Who are your favorite people to team up with? (careful with this one mate)

See above. There’s a reason that Benzorrr and I have 185 games together at last count. Hard to turn away from a teammate that has netted me 1000 points and a 2/3 win ratio. Benzorrr and Xman were really my first consistent teammates on this site and we will probably continue to join tournaments together until the day we leave. Also, both are very dependable sitters when I need to slip out of town for a day or even a week. They both have made my CC experience much more enjoyable. Jippd is easily the best player that I have played with. I have a great deal of respect for him and his clan, and I would never turn down an invite from them. Recently, I’ve obviously been playing games with Fallen. I’d say that chapcrap has been my favorite teammate so far. There are a lot of other honorable mentions from both inside and outside my clan, but I’ll move on …

Q. You were like 10 points away from making Brigadier. When are we going to see that happen?

I know, right! I was checking my score very frequently around that time. Unfortunately, I then went on a 450 point slide from which I am only now recovering. I like 1v1 games and 1v1 tournaments too much to think that I’ll ever hold onto Brig for too long (if I get there). But I thought the same thing about Colonel. I love points, but I also love the wide variety of maps, settings, and opponents on this site. There are particular game types that I have proven good at, but just don’t like. For example, multiplayer, no spoils and flat rate games that go into the hundreds of rounds. I have collected quite a bit of stats on my gameplay and I’m pretty sure that I could get to Brig if I tried. The one way that I might make and hold Brig is if I continue my recent increase in team games with quality teammates. I have definitely benefitted (pointwise, among other ways) from my recent teammates.

Q. When you go 'out of town' and I have to sit for you, where do you go? What is your favorite vacation spot?

I usually go to visit my fiancée, who lives in a bordering state. We’ve been together for about 8 years, engaged for over three and have spent roughly half of all that time separated by at least a state (if not an ocean!). I’m very thankful for the time I get to spend with her, so I would say my favorite vacation spot is wherever she’s at. (BTW, she hates this site haha.) As for geographic locations, I love heading back home to northern Nevada--the Lake Tahoe area, specifically. I like the combination of gambling and lots of outdoor options that you can’t find in many other places.

Q. Who do you think you are?

I AM AGENTCOM. BOW BEFORE ME.

Q. Currently you are with suggestions team, have you considered another volunteers team?

I hadn’t even considered the suggestions team when I was asked if I was interested. There’s not enough time in the day to read through everything in the Forum, so I had started keeping up with and contributing to some of the subfora, including Suggestions. I am glad that I ended up there, as I don’t think that I would be interested in moderating a lot of the other ones. Maybe someday I’ll move up in the moderator hierarchy, but don’t expect a lateral movement from me.

Q. What is the meaning of your username?

I wish, there was a less nerdy response, but it is actually the website of some company that I hope to have someday. “A.G.” are my initials; “Ent.” is short for “Enterprises”; and “com” would be the top level domain for commercial (and other) websites. It’s been a common username that I have used since high school when I came up with my "plan" to eventually own a company. Of course, I had no idea what business I would end up in, so I thought that “A.G. Enterprises” would be a cool name for whatever I did. I just checked and agent.com directs you to a real estate search. I’ll probably need quite a bit of money to pry that away from them.

Q. If you were a pokemon what pokemon would you be?

I play sports ;)

… or at least did when Pokemon was popular. Is that still a thing?

Q. How many PMs have you sent to teammates in the last 4 weeks? ;)

LOL. X actually turned me on to this PM Team thing, which I 'm sure he now regrets. My Sent Messages tab isn’t even big enough to go back 4 weeks! Out of my most recent 50 PMs (which only goes back a little over a week), 28 of them have been PM Team or responses to them. So over 4 weeks, I’d say it was somewhere between 75 and 100. Maybe I should cut back ;) And this is even now when most of the people I play with have Chatglove, so those PMs are only from the portion of my team games that we are with teammates sans CG!

Q. Why did you assemble that rifle so quickly?

Hmmmm … the last time I assembled a rifle was years ago. But I was being timed on it, so it was probably the pressure!

Q. Where would you like to visit, and why?

I have been interested in China and India for years. Studied them lots, but never been there. Someday …

Q. What's your favorite excel formula?

So many to choose from! I’m no Excel pro by any means … wtf are macros?! I recently discovered “eq.rank”, which is pretty cool, but not the most useful function. And I’ve had to go back an delete it from my larger spreadsheets to speed them up.
Vlookup and Hlookup have proved increasingly useful to me. But I also have found a lot of use for the find/mid/left/right functions to pull specific data out of a text string. For example:

Code: Select all

=IF(B12,"-",IF(ISERR(FIND(" ",Input!$A$7, SUM(FIND( B2, Input!$A$7)+ LEN(B2)+ IF(MID(Input!$A$7, FIND( B2, Input!$A$7)+ LEN(B2),1)=" ",1,0)))),RIGHT(Input!$A$7,LEN(Input!$A$7)- SUM(FIND( B2, Input!$A$7)+ LEN(B2)+ IF(MID(Input!$A$7, FIND( B2, Input!$A$7)+ LEN(B2),1)=" ",1,0))+1),MID(Input!$A$7, SUM(B6: LEN(B2)+ IF(MID(Input!$A$7, FIND( B2, Input!$A$7)+LEN(B2),1)=" ",1,0)), FIND(" ",Input!$A$7, SUM(FIND( B2, Input!$A$7)+ IF(MID(Input!$A$7, FIND( B2, Input!$A$7)+ LEN(B2),1)=" ",1,0)))- SUM(FIND( B2, Input!$A$7)+ LEN(B2)+IF(MID(Input!$A$7, FIND( B2, Input!$A$7)+ LEN(B2),1)=" ",1,0)))))

Is a function I wrote to pull some settings data from Maprank, where B2 is the name of the setting and Input!$A$7 is cell containing the “Options” cell. Of course, I broke it down into a bunch of different steps, but the above is the full code of what is executed.

Q. Let's say you were a cashier... Would you check me (chapcrap) out?

Why do I have to be a cashier? ;)

Q. What do you like about being a Suggestions Moderator?

Even when I was a common user, I liked the Suggestions Forum and disliked the cynicism toward it. For $25 per year (or for free for many!), this site provides me and each of many, many users with hundreds of hours of entertainment. Starting from that baseline, it’s hard to be as cynical. Furthermore, the Archived Implemented Suggestions Forum shows 650+ suggestions that have been implemented in the past 6 years. I’m sure some of those are repeats, but that number doesn’t include who-knows-how-many updates that did not go through the “regular” suggestions process.

That said, there is a lot of room for improvement. The “process,” for one thing, could be better defined. When Suggestions was separated from what is now Bug Reports, not everything was been put in the proper place, something that many of the Suggestions followers have seen me trying to rectify in past weeks. The stages of getting a suggestion implemented—Suggestion, Sticky, Submitted Suggestion, Implemented Suggestion—could be better defined. The process for major suggestions will always take a while, but there are numerous “quick fixes” that take just as long because there’s no way to separate them from the masses. This is another thing that I hope to work on during my time here, and I have received the support and encouragement of other mods above me and from different teams. We shall see where it goes.

Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about your question: I like being a suggestions mod because I like this site, want to support it, dislike the cynicism, and think that there are areas that I can really contribute.

Q. Let's say you were Santa Clause and I (chapcrap) was on your list... Would you take a second look?

I wouldn’t have to ;)

… I just realized you wrote Santa “Clause” … like the Tim Allen movie?

Q. How many multi's are you hiding from me (TheForgivenOne)? And how will you bribe me to keep it quiet when I become a Multi Hunter and discover all of your multi's?

I wish I had time for all my games AND enough multi accounts that I could boost my score. Not that that’s what I would choose to do with my time, though.

If you did catch me or my 6 multi accounts, I would bribe you the same amount everyone else bribes CC when they’re busted: $25. Then I would start the process over again.

Q. What's your favorite shade of green?

I'm not really a big fan of green, but it's the color I'm stuck with. My favorite color would have to be red

Q. Do you want me (rdsrds2120) to bribe TFO to stop bribing you to hide the multi's? He knows, I know, we all know.

Wait, so now TFO is bribing me to hide his multis? Or is he bribing me to hide my multis? Did you mean “extorting”? Well, whatever the answer, I’d say just add or subtract $10 to the amount—whichever makes me better off!

Q. Would you push rds's buttons premaritally?

I think premarital button pushing is the best kind of button pushing, but I haven't done any postmarital button pushing. Also, you can replace “button pushing” with a lot of other things and those sentences still work.

Q. How many maps would you call yourself a master at?

I know I talked a good game to get me into the Fallen, but I would say All Your Base is the only map that I have truly mastered. I believe that I could take on all comers in with any settings on that map. There are plenty of other maps that I think I am really good at, but that is the one that I have mastered.

Q. What is your worst map?

I lost a shitload of points on the stupid fking St. Pats map back in March. I was in a tournament in which I got killed, then in an attempt to earn some points back I started making some other types of games on that map. In foggy games, I failed to strike at the right time. In 2-player games, I failed to kill neutrals. In large games, someone always seemed to be able to outplay me no matter what strategy I used. It was a very frustrating experience that cost me about 1000 points. The only map that even comes close to that is Luxembourg, on which I have lost 500 points. A lot of it has to do with playing low-ranked opponents, but I abhor those two maps now.

Q. If you were going to make CC more like Harry Potter, what would the 3 unforgivable curses be?

Rant time! I do not like Harry Potter. I know this is an unpopular stance, and it has led to many arguments with the Potterheads out there. This is not because I think wizard books are lame or anything like that. Also, I gave HP a chance to impress me. I read the first couple books and watched the first couple movies. And I’ve got to say, he’s just a shitty wizard. This guy is supposed to knock the socks off of Lord Voldemort and it seems that he would have trouble finding his wand if it was stuck in his eye. Hermione is a far superior wizard in those first two books (and far cuter in the movies).

The saving grace of Potter in those first two books was either (a) the coincidental arrival of friends with what happened to be just the right skills or powers for whatever bind HP had gotten himself into or, relatedly (b) dumb luck.

I am not a fatalist. It takes a good work (literary or cinematic) for me to appreciate a movie which contains coincidence on the level that makes things seem like they were destined to happen. I feel like I'll allow the suspension of disbelief to take me a lot of places. Just not there.

In answer to your question, I don't think I made it far enough to read about unforgivable curses.

Q. What do you think of Agent Orange?

Well, I guess I can say that it seemed to be effective for what it was designed for. Gotta love Monsanto. (Actually, I just read that Dow Chemical also had a part in it's development. Did not know that.)

Q. What do you think of Agent 86?

Had to Google this one. Are you talking about DJ Agent 86? I'm listening to that now. I like it.

Or maybe this Agent 86 band. Ugh, the singer has a really annoying voice.

Or maybe this Agent 86. I'll just say TV has improved greatly since that time, in my opinion. Well, some of it has.

Q. What do you think of Agent Coulson?

Heading back to Google ... Oh that's Agent Coulson. I like him. But Robert Downey, Jr. is probably my favorite from those movies.

Q. What do you think of Travel Agents?

Do they still exist? I would think the internet would have rendered them useless by now.

Q. Do you thing you're as good as Agent 007?

Sean Connery's 007, no. Daniel Craig's 007, yes.

Q. If 007 actually played CC, would he be conqueror?

He would hold the position briefly until Chuck Norris came along. And then not only would Chuck Norris be Conqueror, there wouldn't be anybody left on the scoreboard. Because ...

Chuck Norris would never lose a game.

When Chuck Norris wins a game, you die in real life.

You can never decline a Chuck Norris invitation.

Chuck Norris can play all 15,124 players in speed games, at the same time.

Chuck Norris is able to invite freemiums to speed games.

Let's hope Chuck Norris never gets on CC.

Q. If not, what rank would he be?

Conqueror, but only briefly. See above.

Q. How long before you're a brig?

I'm at 2866 right now, but with the games I'm in now, it's gonna take a while

Q. Would you support CC moderators as fellows or would you instead scrutinize them more, now that you know them?

I'd say both. Almost all of the moderators that I've dealt with on this site, in the areas that I frequent have been good people trying to make this site a better place. So, I fully support them in that. But behind the scenes, we all scrutinize each other's actions and try to keep ourselves from getting out of line.

Q. What do you feel about the various departments(and their interaction with Joe the non multi public)?

Other than a limited number of instances where I've seen mods lose their cool, I think all the moderators act professionally, respectfully, and appropriately toward other users. Especially, when they're acting in their "area of influence" (i.e. when I'm in Suggestions, or when TD's are in tournaments, etc.). I don't know if other users know this, but when a moderator gets out of line, it usually turns into quite a behind-the-scenes discussion telling them to cool it. We do try to hold ourselves to a higher standard in our interactions with other users no matter what part of the site we are on.

Q. Do you consider yourself to be the best player among the mods?

Yes :) At least in the games that I like to play. I'm sure there are better freestyle players or trench players, for example. There are only a couple of higher ranked moderators that I know of.

Q. Who is your most favorite actress/actor and name your top 10 must see again movies..

Actor: I don't know. Brad Pitt and Edward Norton came immediately to mind (and I haven't even seen Fight Club in a long time)

Actress: Natalie Portman

Top 10 movies:

Shawshank Redemption
A River Runs Through It
The Matrix Trilogy (yeah, even the second one)
V for Vendetta
Stepbrothers
Wedding Crashers
The Hangover
The Lion King (have to throw a Disney movie in there)
Hamlet 2
The Hammer

If you haven't seen the last two, you must.

Q. Is there a Mrs. agentcom?

Soon. May 26, 2013

Q. When can we expect agentcom Jr?

Hopefully a few years after that when we get settled.

Q. If you were a Buddhist, would you be a Mahayana or Vinayana Buddhist?

"The older version of Buddhism (the Hinayanas) believed that the only way to attain nirvana was by leading a monastic life of austerity, abandoning all worldly pleasures." (Source)

That doesn't sound promising

" the Mahayana sect has a much larger following because of their more liberal interpretation of the teachings of the Buddha than the Hinayanas. The newer school allowed for the possibility of enlightenment to all those who followed the path of righteousness, irrespective of their status in society. Synonymous with the Mahayana sect are the values of love and compassion combined with that of knowledge. " Id.

So, I'll go with that one.

Q. Do you believe in Ghosts?

Not really. I'm kind of a Deist, so I don't really believe in much supernatural interaction with this world.

Q. Is Elvis really dead?

"No, Elvis is not dead. He just went home."

Q. Can you describe the view when you are looking up at a T-player hoisting the trophy in HAs 200th... ;-)?

Unfortunately, I cannot. HA's 200th tourney has been ABANDONED!! From what I hear, they aren't even looking for a replacement director. This is a travesty. We discussed this in the http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=134927 and it's probably the biggest Risk tournament of all time.

... Wait! What?! I just went back there and realized that it has been moved back to active status. THANK YOU HA!!!! Sorry if I caused any panic there.

Q. How sad are you going to be when we crush your team in the A team tournament? ;)

I think I'm the one who should be asking you that!

Thanks for your time agentcom!

Thanks for having me![/spoiler]

Hello, hello, and welcome back to the Office of Strategic Services! Ol' Sully will be your guide for this issue! Today I've got for you an interesting discussion I had with some fellow Live Chat frequenters about "the ultimate strategy". Is there even an ultimate strategy? If so, what is it? Well, see if you agree with any of the fine players that participated in the survey!

Onward to victory!

Hello again my friends, and welcome to your favorite part of the Newsletter, "War Games", where you can find information about CC Tournaments! My writers have really had a burst of activity this time, and I am absolutely delighted to bring you an edition with no fewer than five excellent articles! I'm really proud of my team, and very pleased to present their work to you.

First, let me dispense with one bit of bad news, and then we'll get on with the good. The promising new writer I introduced to you in the last issue, [player]Campin_Killer[/player], has been busted from breaking Rule #1. I liked his writing, but our standards require us to remove major rulebreakers from the team, so with very mixed feelings we say "bye bye Campin".

Ok, on to the good stuff. The part of our new, new writer will now be played by [player]woopintroysbutt[/player]. Woopin has produced "spotlight" kind of article about his favourite tournament organiser, [player]theRev1957[/player]. I myself ring in with an interview with one of the greatest tournament players on the site, [player]BluU[/player]. DaveH has two features again, including the twenty-fourth installment of Tournament Tips, and of course the TPA Update. (Remember, even if you never organise any tournaments, you can earn college credit towards your Accounting diploma by studying Dave's advanced Excel macros!) Last but not least, WorldCup4James carries on the tradition of JoinThisOrNot! Enjoy.

[spoiler=Excel coding to set up a tournament - Part 4]As we continue the coding for setting up a tournament spreadsheet, in this article we will define the coding for randomising the list of players.

Firstly we add a "Randomise" menu heading to our "Tournament" Excel menu bar that will run the code in the subroutine "RandomCode". The extra code for this, which is added to the subroutine "CreateMenu()", is as follows:

Code: Select all

 ' Add a menu heading for randomising the list of players
        Set cbcSubMenu = cbcCutomMenu.Controls.Add(Type:=msoControlButton)
            ' Give the control a caption
            cbcSubMenu.Caption = "Randomise"
            cbcSubMenu.OnAction = "RandomCode"    'Randomise programme
            cbcSubMenu.FaceId = 1376 'assigns an icon

This adds to the existing menu, so that you get the following:
Image

The complete randomise subroutine is as follows:

Code: Select all

Sub RandomCode()
    Dim irow As Integer  'starting row
    Dim icol As Integer  'starting column

    irow = 7    'starting row position
    icol = 3    'starting column position

    'check that the table exists
    A = Cells(irow, icol).Value 'First Heading
    If A = "" Then
        MsgBox "You need to select 'Create Template' first."
        Exit Sub
    Else

        'check that the table is full
        i = Cells(3, 2).Value 'Number of players
        k = 0
        If Cells(4, 2).Value = "Doubles" Then
            i = i / 2
            k = 1
        End If
        j = 1
        While j < i + 1
            If Cells(irow + j, icol).Value = "" Then
                MsgBox "The player list is not complete"
                Exit Sub
            Else
                j = j + 1
            End If
        Wend

        'check that the list is not already random
        If Cells(5, 2).Value = "Randomised" Then
            MsgBox "The player list has already been randomised"
            Exit Sub
        Else

            'copy and paste the table
            Range(Cells(irow, icol - 1), Cells(irow + j - 1, icol + k)).Copy
            Cells(irow + j + 1, icol - 1).Select
            ActiveSheet.Paste

            'copy in a random number
            For i = 1 To j - 1
                Cells(irow + j + i + 1, icol + k + 1).Value = "=RAND()"
            Next i

            'sort and clear the random number
            Range(Cells(irow + j + 2, icol), Cells(irow + j + i, icol + k + 1)).Select
            Selection.Sort Key1:=Cells(irow + j + 2, icol + k + 1), Order1:=xlAscending, Header:=xlNo, _
                OrderCustom:=1, MatchCase:=False, Orientation:=xlTopToBottom, _
                DataOption1:=xlSortNormal
            Range(Cells(irow + j + 2, icol + k + 1), Cells(irow + j + i, icol + k + 1)).Clear

            'Show that the list is now random
            With Cells(irow + j + 1, icol - 1)
                .Value = "Random"
                .HorizontalAlignment = xlRight
                .Font.Bold = True
            End With
            With Cells(5, 2)
                .Value = "Randomised"
                .HorizontalAlignment = xlRight
                .Font.Bold = False
            End With
        End If
    End If
End Sub

There are a number of checks to make before randomising the list of players' names. Does the table exist?

Code: Select all

    A = Cells(irow, icol).Value 'First Heading
    If A = "" Then
        MsgBox "You need to select 'Create Template' first."
        Exit Sub
    Else

Is the table full?

Code: Select all

        'check that the table is full
        i = Cells(3, 2).Value 'Number of players
        k = 0
        If Cells(4, 2).Value = "Doubles" Then
            i = i / 2
            k = 1
        End If
        j = 1
        While j < i + 1
            If Cells(irow + j, icol).Value = "" Then
                MsgBox "The player list is not complete"
                Exit Sub
            Else
                j = j + 1
            End If
        Wend

Has the list already been made random?

Code: Select all

        'check that the list is not already random
        If Cells(5, 2).Value = "Randomised" Then
            MsgBox "The player list has already been randomised"
            Exit Sub
        Else

If all these conditions are Ok then we copy the table and paste it below the existing table.

Code: Select all

            'copy and paste the table
            Range(Cells(irow, icol - 1), Cells(irow + j - 1, icol + k)).Copy
            Cells(irow + j + 1, icol - 1).Select
            ActiveSheet.Paste

Then we insert the Random Excel function.

Code: Select all

            'copy in a random number
            For i = 1 To j - 1
                Cells(irow + j + i + 1, icol + k + 1).Value = "=RAND()"
            Next i

Then we sort by the random number and then "tidy up" by deleting the random numbers.

Code: Select all

            'sort and clear the random number
            Range(Cells(irow + j + 2, icol), Cells(irow + j + i, icol + k + 1)).Select
            Selection.Sort Key1:=Cells(irow + j + 2, icol + k + 1), Order1:=xlAscending, Header:=xlNo, _
                OrderCustom:=1, MatchCase:=False, Orientation:=xlTopToBottom, _
                DataOption1:=xlSortNormal
            Range(Cells(irow + j + 2, icol + k + 1), Cells(irow + j + i, icol + k + 1)).Clear

Finally we insert text that the list is now random - which also prevents the operation being carried out again.

Code: Select all

            'Show that the list is now random
            With Cells(irow + j + 1, icol - 1)
                .Value = "Random"
                .HorizontalAlignment = xlRight
                .Font.Bold = True
            End With
            With Cells(5, 2)
                .Value = "Randomised"
                .HorizontalAlignment = xlRight
                .Font.Bold = False
            End With

The table now looks like the following (depending on your settings!):

Well, it's back to normal, for most, in the foundry. There's a couple of problems still struggling to get past the protest and there's a small storm brewing with [player]Oneyed[/player] but hopefully that will blow over before the next issue. If not then let's see if we can't get to the bottom of that then. In the meantime, another storm was [player]DiM[/player] and [player]koontz1973[/player] has taken time out to investigate that story for this issue. I can assure you that one isn't over yet so read this issue and wait for updates. [player]koontz1973[/player] is back on deck properly now so he's updated the News and What's Where articles. PM me with your thoughts and suggestions. Do you like it? Can we do better? Is there something else you want? And, to round out the issue, I take another look at how the Conditional Borders are impacting the foundry (yeah I know that [player]Nolefan5311[/player] did a number on this last issue too but you can't get enough of a good thing!). Early days yet, but take a look and feel free to provide feedback on that too. In fact, I'd be keen on anyone PMing me their thoughts on the foundry part of the newsletter with your ideas of what would make it better for you (and to let me know that people out there are reading it :lol:). And while we are about it, who would argue with Mob Wife Drita Davanzo:
They say what doesn't kill us makes us stronger ... I say what doesn't kill me better run faster than me.

While we would all relish the opportunity to discriminate, first you need to post something!! Maybe you can post what you thought you posted and then we can delete that?

EDIT: Thanks Qwert. That was really interesting! Sadly I had to delete it because I promised!
