All good i read what you spoke of. Sorry i was looking from the aspect of Maori tribes and their location and strength and misunderstood the angle you were taking.

Taumarunui is correct - literarally taumaranu (screen) and nui (big) or big screen - being a large sheltered area in which the Māori chief Pehi Turoa in his dying words fondly refered to it as. Alternative history has it as closely connected with the arrival of and conquering of that portion of the King Country by the Whanganui River natives during the 18th century by the war party that succeeded in capturing the principal pa and taking prisoner the chief of the district was headed by "Ki Maru". His warriors, to show their appreciation of his prowess and the honour of the victory, acclaimed him "Tau-maru-nui", which means "Maru the Great", or "Maru the Conqueror", that name was taken for the district and has been used ever since.". Either works for me, but the spelling is correct.

Yes you are right. Sorry spelling changes between tribes (for instance Whangarei versus Wangarei and Powhiri versus Pohiri) and sometimes the way we spell it in my end of the woods is different to someone elses.

You are right and yes you proably should go with the main version.

Nobody said anything about binning the maps...i just have to devote some other time to other things like other folk in this place do. And my "bloody uni" is hopefully going to keep this old fart in a job later to retirement...so don't knock the gift horse ;)

Version 19 with 888s...sorry but small is at 90% screen size and large is 80% sccren size...because of the length of the maps on my screen.
