Mine is a reference to my employment. I drive truck for Stericycle Inc. It is a medical waste company who's cargo includes body parts, organs etc... Hence the name GutTruck

Mine is a real life nickname from about 20 years ago that just kinda stuck
It was a very random name - but I'm not sure if that makes it random, or if it means something because it was my nickname?

Here is the condensed story. My CB Handle was "Thor." Compuserve (mid / late 80's) had a game called "Island of Kesmai." The moderators were called "ghods." Naming my character "Thor" sounded too pretencious so I change a letter. Suddenly I had a four letter word that was not only not censored but never used. The only time I could not create an account of Tzor was when I had done so previously and had lost the email account and forgotten the password. (My Yahoo account has a number because of this.) Eventually I even got it on my licence plate.
(You know, I really miss the days in the late 80's chatting with the British Legends Witches in Midtown Manhatten in a Mexican Resturant about all the problems they had with the game and with moderation. Like the time that one of them changed one of the parameters of one of the characters which caused the game to crash which in turn took down the game server that caused all the games of Compuserve to crash. Compuserve games were written in ... believe it or not ... a substandard BASIC programming language.)

Picked up a grimy-looking hitchhiker just south of Eugene, Oregon. He was headed to Ken Kesey's old farm. He got us high, we listened to some old-time punk, shot the shit. We stopped at a Burger King for some food. This dude didn't have much money, so he asked if he could have my free drink refill. Sure, i said. He filled the cup with half Dr Pepper and half Coke. When I queried this, he replied, well they're both heavy colas, man. It was an incredibly powerful moment, like the sun had suddenly pierced through the clouds, and suddenly the world made sense. I hugged him tight, paid and left, and began to drive towards my future. When I got past Eugene I realised I'd left the dude back in the BK, but I figured he could catch another lift, plus he'd left his weed in the glovebox so it was all good.

#1 sounds JUST like Eugene
#2 what an insensitive story ending.....lol
#3 Wendy's have advertised this pop mix as Black Gold.....one of my faves....here from the Urban Dictionary:
Black Gold: a soda beverage combination, consisting of 50% coke and 50% Dr. Pepper. 100% maximum beveragitude.
I think I've posted the expl of my name about 100 times here over the years

evolution of a nickname I first picked up when I was in my teens... it started out as Shadow because I was always following just behind my friends instead of walking beside them... then the internet started getting big so I went online and there were literally thousands of "shadow"s out there... so because I liked to think I was a bit crazy I went with "psycho shadow" and stuck with that for a while... after college and generally growing up a bit I toned down the crazy. In keeping with that, it became what it is now.

It's from my favourite poet- William Blake- when I first started with his stuff, the last line from The Tyger stuck with me as kind of awesome. It got shortened to Symmetry over time, and I realised I'm not all that scary. Now I'm stuck with it.

In college, one of my friends would introduce me by saying "He's the Greek, dog."
Re: Does your username stand for something or is it just ran
I used to buy / sell comics online and I consider myself to be amusing from time to time . Hence the name seemed to be a rather neat pun.

My dad always used to tell me "if you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch". Well, when I could beat him running I would taunt him by saying that the puppy dog just beat him. You can guess the '85 part

Wrong symbol BBS. That would be cm. Note that it had a ' in front of it. I know it requires some hard thinking but I know you can do it if you just try.
