tons of changes. still 72 territories.

1. the flat bonuses are gone, the flats are in 3 general 'continents' but this is just for reference and marking
2. pillboxes can now attack on to the beach
3. turrets are more inland
4. airplains can attack and move on to the parachute areas. this gives some range attack abilities but not too much as the two 'landing zones' can easily be defended
5. a wall was blasted out of a pill box and turret to mix it up
6. trenches can be used to move between german fortifications

still missing:

1. some army numbers
2 other stuff.

I think the turrets attack way too many places.

Maybe make them able to attack the ships instead? I dunno that sounds dumb though.

Maybe turrets should only be able to attack right where water meets the sand as troops aren't able to get to cover yet. Once they get further up the beach, they've found cover and/or the angle might be impossible for the turrets to hit.

changes:
1. added numbers in the german areas
2. changes numbers on east beach
3. the turrets can now attack beaches 1,2,3 on the waters edge
4. bonuses changes a bit
5. other stuff

thoughts? bonuses? the bonus formula will not be so relevant here with the directed gameplay and such, but making it balanced would be great.

+2 West turrent

there is also East, Center, West flats but there is no bonus associated with them.

I think they are fairly obvious. they are different shades of color, are numbered 1-6, and are labeled below.

and yes the green has thee continents separated by the tree line, i need to make that more clear, but there is no bonus associated with the green continents at this point.

Hmm. I can never understand your complex continent divisions.

The northern part...is there a continent or something up there? All I can see is random red numbers on the grass. Can you explain how it is divided? The pillboxes are okay, it is the rest I cannot decipher.

yeah they are the beaches, i didnt want to call them beaches because it would be confusing with the title... but they are landing zones Fox, Easy and Dog.

I still think the turrets attack too many places.

Maybe you can add a horizontal restriction (they can only turn so much left and right) like west turret can attack 2,3 in Fox and 1 in Easy while East turret can attack 3 in Easy and 1,2 in Dog.

this way Fox and Dog don't need to defend all 6 territories, while Easy (which is hardest place on whole map to defend) has slightly better chance of being held, whereas right now I don't see it being held often at all

not sure about playability of this one.. Wish I could make some sound suggestions but I think the playability does not represent the actual invasion well. I'll check back later and see what progress is made. Maybe it will be clearer then.

Fox/Easy/Dog landing zones can have more shading to make those "Territories" clearer.

The beaches seem to me too rectangularly divided in comparison to the top half of the map. Of course, this may be intentional -- if so, I still think they could stand to be less rectangular than they are without loosing the rectangular feel.
