I don't see how my reply time has anything to do with the response.

I'm not defending ANYBODY, I'm defending against the argument. 95%, 5%, whatever if the players are able to say no and not getting forced into it there's no reason he should get punished for someone else's poor game choices.

An assumption perhaps, but then again so is ur assumption theyre so unable to play that he should be punished for it as an extended form of ranching. For me it's not personal or about defending him or anything like that, but as others have pointed out the "attack" on him surely seems personal.

What you have here is a violation of not the letter of the law, but the spirit of the law.

For first time offenders, it is easy to offer a warning and say tell the offender to go thy way.

For someone with history of similar offenses, this is just a way to say screw you to the rules put in place for everyone to follow.

Drop the hammer and make an example. I am tired of Conquerors on this site being freestyling noob farmers. . . I was in a team game with a former conqueror and thought he was dumb as a brick and had no place at the top of this site. . he must have had a million dollar mouse because he had about a five cent head.

It would be nice to have the perceived top player on site based on points to be someone who actually was a skilled player. In fact, they should consider eliminating freestyle from points considerations since it brings an element to the game that violates the integrity of turn based strategy, which is the cornerstone of this medium.

I think it's pretty pathetic when you think that captain/Lt/S1C is defenseless on a map as straight forward as City Mogul, even if it is freestyle.

This is a stupid report. I have accepted challenges from people in Callouts before, and they've been pfcs and shit and they weren't defenseless.

I play 1900 players in chess and I'm not fucking defenseless that's just ridiculous. Yes my disadvantage is large but how do you get better at a game unless you play higher skilled people?????

Quit hating on GlG, he has shown logs that these people are GRATEFUL for his help and for exposing them to superior play.

Dibbun,

You are obviously not comprehending the issue at hand here. I respect the fact that you are coming to the aid of your buddy, however, place the friendship aside, re-read the facts behind this post and compare that to GLG's infraction that was handed down by King A. Once you do this, maybe, just maybe a correlation can be made by you. As I stated, the means are slightly different yet the end result is the same.

This isn't a bash GLG thread. This is a thread to force action to prevent this type of gameplay that GLG partakes in, which he was already warned.

Would it be better to hunt in the woods where techniques used would yield a kill or just make it simpler and grab a gun, travel to the local zoo and hunt there? It's still hunting no? One just makes it a little easier. Get it? One method is accepted and legal the other, not so much.

I understand some may take this issue with glg personal, I on the other hand am not. GLG is just another player to me who happens to be conqueror and uses cheap means to hold that spot. We wouldn't be talking for example to you for doing the same act as you in respects to GLG are lower ranked. Why do you think he possesses over an 80% win rate? Because he's good? No even close; it's taking candy from a baby in the games and players he plays mate.

As I stated already; he should just set up non-private, speed games where anyone can join and wahlah, problem solved. why the hell do you think he doesn't do this? Points and the number 1 spot are far too important to him, hence the reason for private, speed games vs easy opponents having not a clue and the over 80% win rate. It's real simple mate.

As usual in the ongoing glg saga, two opposing views.

We have all said what we think and why, lets let the MODS come in and see what the outcome is.

Rather than argue with each other over a conqueror that a large percent of CC thinks is undeserving of the title to begin with.

I saw MY NAME in one of the games. Here's to clear things up, I was VERY WELL aware that Gen.LeeGettinhed is a master player, especially in Mogul CIty/ Waterloo.

I use BOB, Map Rank, am in a clan. I'm not an idiot. I knew even then he's made 1000 or 2000 points out of Mogul City/ Waterloo. I thought it would be an amazing opportunity for me to learn Mogul City risking only 4 points, and gaining 68ish points if I win.

So please, whoever started this post, remove my game number from here. I do NOT support you in your unfair accusation against Gen.LeeGettinhed.

PS: I may or may not follow up on this post, so please inbox/ wall post me if you want me to reply to you in forum. I generally hate reading too much, and haven't read after the first page :P

-----------------------------------------------------------
Second Part:

I personally think Gen.LeeGettinHed's game play is totally okay. Anyone have problem with it? Well go ahead and do it your self too. I'm pretty sure MOST WILL lose so much they will lose the taste of it.

Many people Foe their opponents, put low ranking player in their teams, play freestyle doubles/triples against noobs, and pick up games against noobs. Those are just as bad.

Fix the system, don't blame the system's mess on just one player............

Get rid of Conqueror and get rid of the ratings and you get rid of GLG and all the others that will take his place. I foed him a long time ago due to his actions and that is all that can be done. It's a fun game and there are fun clans but the rest is filled with a bunch of really stupid. Too many take it too seriously and the rest are just really stupid. You only have to read the forums to realize that. Is this a flame, yes it is on everybody. The people running the joint know that and just try to compromise the best way they can. It took me awhile to figure that out but that's just the way it is. If you calm down and think about it and are not a moron you will come to the same conclusion. We can only hope that those running the site will read this and do the same. If they don't, I don't care, they must see see a different reason for not doing what I tell them to do. I hope it is for profit because if not they are even bigger suckers than all the rest of you. I know that is harsh but I think it's accurate.

WHOAH nellie. It's been a LONG time before I "promised to teach" ANYBODY. Back then was when I was freemium and couldn't crate games or play speed games. to Bring this aspect from 2-3 yrs ago is totally wrong. Now I HAVE offered to EXPLAIN a few things, but a HUGE difference between TEACHING and explaining, etc.

Too many people extrapolating items out of context.

Too many people are seeing you as a player that misuses weak players and site rules

Prove us wrong and set up few mogul games(I don't know mogul map... I'll ask for help from KraphtOne):
KraphtOne wrote:p.s. If anyone would like to play a 1vs1 freestyle mogul with me i will accept any challenger regardless of rank... you set it up, give me the password, and i'll join at my leasure and we'll see how that works out for ya :D

So you don't have to explain anything to KraphtOne, he has more points then the noobs u fight(which means you can get more points), he will do that any time you like(so u wont waste time to look for noobs on live chat).

P.S. I can understand if you are afraid of [player]KraphtOne[/player] and don't respond to this.

So Gen.Lee, forgive me I must be behind the times, there are so many threads to keep up with.

So can you just clarify for me, You do not offer to teach anyone anything. And you research and ask these players to set up for easy points, knowing full well that you get to go 1st, and your opponent has no chance of winning, due to the 1st turn and that they have never played the map before ? You fully admit this now ?

But it is "legal" not against any written rule, because the ruling stated,

Basically, in these 1 vs 1 games, the opponent does not have an idea of how to play the map or how to engage in the settings of the game that was made. It's like you constructed a way to make a player become like a "new recruit", because you made a game that he will play for the first time in which you have played countless times already. Regularly doing this to different (unsuspecting) players is a systematic way of ranching points for yourself. These games exhibits a pattern of how someone can methodically target specific ranks or players that have no idea on how to play the map for the purpose of ranching. It's not fair to regularly do this. We will classify this as a gross abuse of the game.

Since we have always seen him as someone who just prefers to play against low ranked players in the past, re-checking his private games with certain settings has shed some light that this practice is more malicious than it seems. This does not mean that no one is allowed anymore to invite low ranks or unfamiliar players to private games. You can play any ranks publicly or privately but make sure that this practice is not done in extreme numbers to the point that you are already doing this regularly, seeking out specific ranks or players in order to ranch some points.

so you switched it to getting them to create the game. ? Making it technically not against the rule ? Correct ?

It's always so refreshing reading through these chains

Anyone thought to thank GLG for pointing out another gap in the point system? Fix it, and let him find another one- it just improves the system overall. Pretty sure I remember GLG posting last time the warning didn't stop him from ranching, just hampered him.

Blows my mind that so many people key off on someone using a loophole as opposed to being upset the loophole exists. GLG invited trouble last time by playing the naive innocent (village idiot maybe hehe, ... Ahhh, sorry GLG) about its not against the rules, and got burned. Maybe he gets burned again using the "discretionary powers" interpretations, maybe not. Only seems to happen when a conquerer is involved. Either way it's better to have ranching/farming methods identified.

Hard to see the validity of a suspension here in my opinion based on the actions. Easy to see the suspension happen though if GLG's CC newsletter interview gets read again. I doubt you can keep flipping the bird to those that moderate and administrate and receive neutral treatment.

10 pages to get to what is covered in 1 post. A clear case of sitting down and finding a hole in a ruling to stop you taking advantage of people. The fact that some say these people should know what is happening is irrelevant, it should not be happening, whether they know better or not.

Mods, is there any chance we can limit repliers to logical people?, but sometimes the posts here ARE comical.

DCR, KA, et al:

Here's part of the problem:
-it's like the CC is sort of like an autobahn
-originally no speed limits
-so KA decides to post a speed limit of 100 MPH
- I go 99 -- NOT 101, not 110, not 150, not 200
- and codeblue/eddie still want the speed limit down around 20 MPH
- BUT THE NEW SPEED LIMIT WAS SET AT 100 -- AND I"M TRAVELING WITHIN THE SPEED LIMIT.

So the other part of the problem is that people WANT to interpret rules and warnings. . .where as i LIVE WITHIN the rules. It's a slippery slope to continually change rules and interpretations of the rules. Any other Ruling is total BS.

Any other Ruling is total BS.

rofl whats hard to interpret in the rule layed down by king a... you were punished for the style of getting the game and the opposition you picked out (unknowing of the map or settings) which is what you have done again end of. you have done what you were warned not to do.

King Engineer wrote:I saw MY NAME in one of the games.

Funny how I make a "theoretical" argument here about the group of players in the posting and I'm told I'm making "assumptions". I go to bed and here it is...I wake up and he's posted.

Thanks King Eng for clearing up that you are indeed capable of doing ur own research and saying "no" to a game offer but didn't because the point risk was worth it! Gosh that sounds familiar....

King Eng was one of those "rarely been on forum and only here a few months how can you call him experienced" nonsense that was discussed earlier.
