There is a joke in there somewhere, but I'm to tired to find it.

Bah Humbug. Don't shoot down the map before it's started. It's a good idea. Not everyone has to like it.

Make the map someone. I'll support it. 8)

I tried to take everyone's comments into account (without having to start from scratch), especially the ones about boarders being too straight and it being too cartoony.
I also added the army circles

looks better, but still could be improved. the pictures, like Wisse said, look rather out of place. i still think the map should look more Gothic and imposing.

You need to upload your image on a hosting site (like Imageshack or Photobucket) and use the code "Hotlink for Forums."
Don't worry, I had the same problem.

Football(Soccer) Stadium [feedback needed]

Post by Hotdoggie »

Hi, this is my soccer stadium map, it is very much a work in progress and my reason for posting it at such an early stage is so i know whether or not it is worth persueing. Well, here goes...

New map:
Image

Bonuses:

Private Boxes(purple) - 2 armies for two blocks/4 armies for three/7 armies for all four
Main stands(left/right) - 4 armies each
Main Pitch:
- Red area - 4 armies
- Blue area - 4 armies
- Four Corners - 3 armies
- One goal area for 1 army/both goal areas for 3
- Whole left side of the pitch - 6 armies(plus armies for goals/corners)
- Whole right side of the pitch - 6 armies(plus armies for goals/corners)

Total territories: 60

any suggestions about bonuses or the map please do say so :)

*routes from the coridors to the private boxes are one way only(coridor to box)

Excellent idea, but the bonuses are incredibly confusing. Care to sort those out a bit?

Keep at it this one

I like the idea, though I'd like to see a more detailed map to get a better idea of what you're thinking.

Don't know if it's because you revised them but I found the bonuses clear and original.

However, I don't like the corridor bonus at 1 each, too much. Make the corridor wrap around the outside of the field so that the entire outer ring (the stands and private boxes) are assessable from the corridor section, the give the private boxes just one opening in the aisles, kind of like the new 'US SENATE' map has it's areas divided.

Then again I may just be confused by the map you have up.

There should also be an upper level of stands behind the private boxes, worth maybe 2 or 3 armies each and 5/7 together.

Also, try to make the sections mirrors of each other, also like the 'US SENATE' map. A big stadium is mostly prefabed off-site and trucked into be assembled and the sections would be similar as a result.

Overall, good idea and good start. Put up a new map when you can and let me know if I can help.

I voted YES in the poll...

... because I don't think it'll be all that hard to get up a nice looking map that works. This is one of those where all you need is half a map.

Good Luck.

thankyou for the feedback. Just one thing, each of the coridors gives a minus one bonus, not a plus one.

This would have been a better link to use:

Anyway... Art looks to be your main problem right now...
