Community Suggested Ignore List [not CC-sanctioned]
Due to an increase in activities that some might deem inappropriate, a number have thought it wise to add an official suggested ignore list that could be used instead of banning players on the site.
The only way that a list like this will be of any use is if the list is taken seriously and treated with an amount of respect.
That being said, one major "flaw" of the list is that it will be used by people to
harm someone for grievances that are of a personal nature. While it is true some might try and use the list to "harm" fellow players, each case reported
will be investigated by a committee of CC peers in an effort to keep the list as objective as possible.
Also, the reasons for being on the list will be posted as well as proof. It won't be a random accusation that is unverified.
This is a preferable substitute for a permanent ban, and can be a boon in the CC society.
REMINDER: This is a suggested ignore list, not a stone engraved commandment.
Plus if a name goes on the list it can be removed after certain requirements are met.
another requirement for a person to be considered by the committee is a minimum of 10 games completed. Otherwise there isn't enough evidence for the committee to consider.
To suggest some one for investigation please post below in this setup:
Name:
Accused's name:
Reason for ignore:
Proof:
(please again, your cooperation in a mature manner will be appreciated)
Please add the following to your ignore list:
Simtom- Chronic deadbeat in all his games. Proof: game # 353317, 352861, 352825, 336460, 336457 ... In each game he never reached round 4.

After evaluating the above claim I have verified that Simtom has deadbeated most of his games. (This has lead to his point total being 19)
Due to the chronic nature of his actions I will be posting him on the suggested ignore list. I think all knew that he would make the list for his actions in CC.
For a quick explanation, deadbeating will not get you on the suggested ignore list unless it is a chronic problem.
Thank you for your post Beastofburson. Simtom will be added to the suggested ignore list immediately.

Thank you for your support. After a certain time this may become a committee required project, but for now I am taking care of things.
When the committee is created it will be made of a small number of people who are respected members of the community and represent a different group here on CC.

GrazingCattle, I made something like this a long time ago but some retard didn't take it seriously and then others didn't either. I'm glad someone actually took it seriously this time and u have my full support.

i feel that people should be told if they are going on this. they should have a chance to plead there case.
You might have a point there. It might be an idea for GC to send a PM to the person once their name is added to the list. This way they will realise that their game playing (or forum) actions have had real consequences. If they want to appeal or have changed their behavior, they can post here.
I wholeheartedly agree with this project.

That is the goal of the project. It is intended to be a better alternative to banning, but still have real consequence. All can plead their case. And I am not adverse to overturning a decision.
I have sent Simtom a pm notifying him of his addition to the list. I don't know how he will respond.
Thank you again for all the support.

Re: Suggested ignore list
Accused's name: smoke
Reason for ignore: Has a high tendency to call everyone around him cheaters when he is losing, often leaving unwarranted negative feedback.
Proof: His Feedback List
Only person on my ignore list at the moment. I don't want some douche to give me negative feedback for cheating when I haven't.

I don't like this idea GC, it could well end up harming honest players. The problem is that as soon as someone goes on to your list they will be added to the ignore list of a large number of people - if you later find out that they are decent players wrongly chastised by a small minority that post in the forums then although you can take them off your list it is very unlikely that many people will take them off their ignore list.

I think GC is doing a good job of investigating claims though. As long as it has a decent moderator who won't just add people at a moment's notice without looking into things I think it will work.

Please make sure in any PMs you send that people know this is not CC-sanctioned. Nor is it an "alternative to banning." This is your personal ignore list and nothing else.

I will be contacting Lack to help make this a viable resource. This is a about the netizens of CC showing how they view actions taken by certain members. I think this could be a healthy alternative to banning, as long as everyone accused is researched.
Thanks to all for their concerns, and support. This is a community and as such each member has a duty to uphold certain moral obligations. when these obligations are disregarded then the community has the right to shun
said persons from their community, but still uphold that person's natural rights.

I to agree unless you have had personal experience with someone then you have o reason to ignore them

I'd rather not have personal experience with mean spirited / bad players if I don't have to, but to each their own...

Like simtom? You don't need to play against him to know that the game will be ruined.
