While it's true that the bonus areas have a differing amount of borders, this isn't really such a big issue due to the bonus structure. That said, I think connecting North Sea to Uxmal instead of Dziblahblah would be ok.

I think more pressing issue is Tikal and Palenque being in such a central position. Tikal however has most of a trade route in it's area which grows it's bonus by 3. That only leaves Palenque, and I'm not sure what to do about it, if anything - all I can think of is, I could remove the bridge between Bonampak & Yaxchixclax to make it a bit less exposed.

I was thinking make Palenque and Tikal have a bigger bonus area to make up for being in between all the other capitals. Plus tikal is connected to 3 other colored areas while every other is only connected to 2. Tikal, while having the most trading routes, is still the most vulnerable making the routes not a very good option.

I don't think changing the bonuses is such a great idea, making them different is only going to complicate the map and require more explanations in the legend...

looking nice. I like also simple bonus structure - all is clear.

need Cozumel three way connections? it is "neutral" region and the connection between Cozumel and Colhá could be deleted. Colhá has borders with Cobá and Kintil.

some sea connections are less visible. they looks fine if this was your aim.

I am color blind, and there are many different people with troubles of different colors so not to be any voice of all knowing, but in my humble opinion, this map is easy to understand and see. thanks

[Moved]

Per mapmakers request. If the mapmaker wants to continue with the map, then one of the Cartography Assistants will be able to help put the thread back into the Foundry system, after an update has been made. ;-)

The six months of vacation for this map has expired and this map will now be labeled as [Abandoned]. If the original mapmaker wants to continue this map project that's fine but an update must provided. From this moment anyone else is free to take this project without the original mapmakers permission, but it has to be started from scratch.
