Is the scoreboard broken or have I missed something? Usually the General Congrats thread is like a CCTV Guide, but I see nothing in there.

Quite right too. There hasn't been some decent congrats to the great and the good of CC for some time.

So get yourselves over there and give those masters of the cc world a hearty and genuine congrats (in the usual style of the GC thread of course).

You might want to check the C&A.

And back to the topic, my favourite conqueror is thebest712. He did get to conqueror through public 1v1 speed freestyle City Moguls, but he was a great partner in team games, pretty intelligent and a fun chap to boot.

We need to be careful. Glg is showing all the correct attributes to become the president of the USA one day.

Yes this brings dishonor to all internet polling that had ever existed.

eddie, eddie, eddie:

In some cultures there is something called politics and people are encouraged to vote. In addition to the outrageous practice you allege, I've also been accused of:
-flying banners across NYC, Chicago and LA that say "vote for GLG"
-putting 10,000 messages in 10,000 bottles into the ocean saying "vote for GLG"
-transmitting on 7 frequencies to outter space encouraging aliens to "vote for GLG"
-sending mental telepathy to other earthlings re: "vote for GLG"
-making porpoise/dolphin/whale sounds in the water encouraging aqua-mammals to "vote for GLG"
-stayed awake until dawn encouraging vampires to "vote for GLG"
-sitting in a pumpkin patch waiting to ask the GREAT PUMPKIN to "vote for GLG"

Whats funny is I could send a pm and get 50 votes on whoever. But why bother? It's all bs anyway. ;)

None of them. Every single conquerer is nothing but a point farming cheater. If I played a best of 7 series one on one with each of them on a flat rate sequential classic map, I would win the vast majority of those series. Its easy to get points when you play team freestyle games against newbs, especially on small maps, or hard to play maps that newbs and even myself sometimes don't understand. Rail Europe being near the top of the list. Put me one on one on a normal flat rate sequential map where the only real luck is the drop, and I am VERY difficult to beat. Not that I think I am better then every conquerer on the site, but I bet I'm better then most of them in a straight up game.

I bet 100% you would not win most of the games. These players did not get to the top with ease. If it was sooo easy everybody would do it.

Yeas, I understand Jamie's sentiment in light of what the position of Conqueror has become but it's not a sensible claim. A good many of these players are actually some of the best all around strategists on the site and christ they work hard. Throwing you into an 8 player sequential on Rail Europe with Comic boy, Poo-maker, Scottland etc you would be a lamb to the slaughter. No offense intended but the level of concentration and attention to detail at the top of the board is unlike lower down. There are accepted protocols which you would need to learn and you would need to weigh every move to the precision of a chess grandmaster.

Yes, I would get slaughtered by most COOKS on the rail europe map. I specifically pointed that map out as virtually impossible to play or understand, unless you had a hand in designing the thing. I guess in short, if conquerers played the same types of games I did, there rank would be no higher then mine, if not less. I made it all the way to COLONEL without farming for points. I just played the games and whatever happened happened. The only reason my rank is what it is now, is I am trying to get all my gold medals, and have been playing all sorts of maps I hate in formats that I hate or don't play well

Sorry, i misunderstood you Jamie. I thought you were proffering Rail Europe as a map of your choice. Anyway, you could swap 'Rail Europe' for 'classic' or just about any other conventional map and it would be the same case. I mean not to say you are a bad player, in fact I have no idea of how good you actually are so perhaps my statement is ill-advised, what i am saying is that you shouldn't underestimate the players i mentioned nor indeed many on that list.
