Re: I Shot a Man in Reno [FULL]
The PM containing the Round 1 password has been sent out. Let me know if there are any problems, concerns, suggestions, etc.
Re: I Shot a Man in Reno [Round 1]
Interesting to know how many chips people gamble in the first round, i myself have gone for a conservitive 800.

Re: I Shot a Man in Reno [Round 1]
I've gone less than that. Not because I'm worried about chips, but mainly because a lot of tournies that I'm in have just sent out invites and my game load was getting too high. I hope to be a lot more aggressive in round 2.

Re: I Shot a Man in Reno [Round 1]
The first update of chip counts is in and reflects all games which have initialized, including the games which have already finished. Obviously right now there are a lot of chips "on the tables" so to speak, so most of the chip counts are below 2000. Your chip count does not reflect games still waiting for players, so please keep an eye out that you do not enter more games than you can afford in case all of them start before you get a chance to drop.
I will rank the list by number of chips at the end of each round, but for now it is alphabetical for ease of accounting.
I'll be making more 1v1 and smallish (4 or 5 person) games later today - that is, Monday - but I must inform you now that no where in this tournament will you find the Classic map, except by random chance, due to my intense loathing of it.

Re: I Shot a Man in Reno [Round 1]
Ok, just a clarification:
If all the games I'm in have ended, but the round has not, am I obligated to join more games? Or, since I've already played 3 or 4, can I just sit back now and conserve chips for Round 2?

Conserve chips??? Are you a duk or a chicken?
lol. Hopefully you won a few duk.
Good question though, there are still a bunch of open games.

You are never obligated to join games, so long as you accept the consequences for not doing so

Re: I Shot a Man in Reno [Round 1]
You should really consider a round limit for all future games.

There are still two active games from Round 1. One game I expect will finish in a timely fashion, but the other doesn't look like it will be quite as accommodating. I will keep an eye on things but we may have to start Round 2 before that game finishes just to keep things moving.
Re: I Shot a Man in Reno [Round 1]
what happened to this tour?
Re: I Shot a Man in Reno [Round 1]
We had been waiting for the last game to finish, which final wrapped up Dec. 27th. I bet round 2 starts soon.
Re: I Shot a Man in Reno [Round 1]
I will not be continuing as organizer for this tournament. If anyone wishes to pick it up be my guest. Apologies to all.
