I support the ideas behind the OWS movement. I do not support the OWS movement, it's leaders, or the politicians associating themselves with the movement.

That's because they are a bunch of phonies hiding behind ideas. They hijacked the ideas and are transforming through the thesis antithesis synthesis.

The difference is, the "mean income" is the amount at which 50% of the people make above, and 50% of the people make below. So that lowered mean income signifies that more than 50% of our population is now at or below poverty level.

What data have you seen indicating that 50% of our population is at or below the poverty level?

Also, that's the definition of "median income". "Mean income" is something else.

If they occupied the Town Hall in my town then I'd be there with a flask of soup for them and take my son to learn about the protest.

Otherwise, I'm far too deeply entrenched in the capitalist trap myself to be able to protest properly.
