I'm sure deadbeating and players waiting is a problem for more than just me and i believe it would make the game experience a lot better/
already suggested, look at the sticky "to-do list"
i don't know if anyone else had this idea before, but i thought about something like Quick Conquering.
The idea is that you only have a couple of minutes for each turn.
Maybe there could be time limit of maybe 10 minutes for a turn, and if a player is moving, he has to do it in maybe 60 seconds. Deadbeat rules would apply, and so you could use that for RT games.
Suggestions: Clock (for the web page) and Fast Game
In Fast Game the host set a time when the game starts. When the game starts it's 30mins for the next round to start. They get 3 chances on missing a turn. This game can be played with any game type. The clock comes in use because the timing of when the game starts.
so instead of clicking Freestyle or sequential you select RT which means the game is freestyle but each round is limited to 1 hour which is good because you can play quicker games and it wouldn't be too diffucult to do.
Is there any way to designate a game as rt? I joined a public game that I didn't realize was organized as rt and felt bad when I walked away for two hours. I like to keep play moving as fast as possible, but don't always have time for rt. An additional filter on game finder would be helpful to determine the speed of play.
I think there should be an option on the game finder/start game menu to start or join an RT game, (like where you choose the numbers of playes and style of play) as you dont know whether everyone is playing rt til you join, then its too late!!!
For the third time, I have joined a game to play a casual, multi-day, bit of slo-conquer, only to find that the other players created it as a realtime game.
Now, I do my best to play RT when this happens, but sometimes it is impossible. End result; I'm frustrated because I don't want to detract from other folk's desired game play experience and the rest of the players are frustrated because their expectations weren't met.
Seems like an easy enough fix would be to have a "realtime" checkbox in the "create a game" UI, then have an RT indicator in the "join a game" and checkbox in the "find a game" UIs.
Speed games are on the to do list please check to make sure you ahve a new suggestion before posting.

Christ Almighty! How many of these threads do we have now? I suggest we have a big sign at the top of this forum saying "Please look at the To-do list before suggesting anything". When was this first suggested? - must have been almost a year ago now.

Have you seen how long the to-do list is? Lack does amazing stuff on this site, but he isn't superhuman. I think the system works well enough for now, I've played lots of great realtimes without any problems.
When this is implemented it will be great, but spamming the forum with threads about it isn't going to achieve anything.
