It has everything to do with this thread. Since you are 44, you don't qualify for the top scores under 30.

"under 30" translates as "people with a win percentage under 30" not as "people under the age of 30"

that being said it still has nothing to do with intelligence.
in fact if you assume a high score = high intelligence, by selecting only people with a win % under 30 you basically weed out the smartest ones.

imagine a guy with 4000 points that has a win % of 35 and he plays only 6p games. that's a bloody great player in my opinion and yet he would not be in this poll despite being obviously higher ranked than some other guy that plays 6p games and has a win percentage of 20-30%.

anyway this top just like most of the tops in the forums is created in such a manner that it allows the creator of the top to be featured in it.

it's like me making a top: the most intelligent, handsome and high ranked players that have made at least 6 maps and are born in the sign of aries.
yay, i'm ranked #1 in that top.

so before you categorize my comments as ridiculous you might actually want to fully read them first and then double check your comments for signs of stupidity.


also, my rant was also about how the poll is created in such a manner that it excludes better players:

imagine a guy with 4000 points that has a win % of 35 and he plays only 6p games. that's a bloody great player in my opinion and yet he would not be in this poll despite being obviously higher ranked than some other guy that plays 6p games and has a win percentage of 20-30%.

Feel free to quote from the first post where it says that the list is the "most intelligent 20 somethings". You can't as it says "there ARE a few really intelligent 20 somethings" but it makes no claim that they are the most intelligent.

Your rant is pointless as the list in this thread has a qualifier of being the best scores by players in the 20s. It specifically excludes higher ranked players that are over 30 to show some interesting data. I don't understand why you are so against this data? And being that this is my 5th year here, I think I am well qualified to determine who they are...
So here's my list...

it's not about me getting in the top or not. i do not even care for the score as i believe it's complete bull and this is a fact i have stated numerous times.

in case you haven't realised so far the 20 somethings is about the people that play mostly 6p games. an win % of 16.66 is average so if you have 20-30% it means you're quite good. if you also have a high score it also means you generally play people close to your level otherwise you wouldn't be able to maintain/increase that high score so you're truly worthy of being in a top.

now, my rant was that a player that enjoys only 6p games (just like the ones in the top) and has a bloody great win percentage of over 30 and an even higher score than most of the people in the top, would not be accepted because the top is created from some false premises.

it's like saying you want to make a top of the greatest basketball players with a ppg average of 20 something.
you'll end up with a pretty nifty top but you'll be missing the greatest ever player (mj) just because he has a 30.1 average.

Actually, you have now completely changed your argument and I would completely agree with what you are saying now. First you said that the list was the most intelligent 20 somethings and disagreed that these are the most intelligent. Now you are saying that the list contains a few intelligent 20 somethings which is quite different from the most. I even colored your two arguments in the above quote so that even you could figure out where you changed your argument.

I don't get your point because you don't have one. This list specifically qualifies the parameters of rank by those under 30. In your example, MJ would justifiably be excluded because he doesn't qualify for the list. This list is not trying to decide the best players of Conquer Club. It is trying to find the best players under 30, and it succeeds in doing so.

(Looking at the current list of players over 4000 points I see that team games with lower ranking team mates is the favourite settings, except for one player who has a load of 1v1 city mogul games vs beginners)

here, most means highly intelligent, really intelligent very intelligent. it doesn't mean many. so it's not about quantity. ok? are we clear so far? good.

so your whole argument is completely void because you compared a quantitative term with a non-quantitative one.
