Just watched some debate last night, and, of course, Ron Paul won (imo)
And again the support for Ron Paul gets silenced, as the internet supporters flood to vote on the CNBC poll.
LOL! Is the GOP floundering without Ron Paul to lead them? During the last election cycle, not one candidate was speaking about the things Ron Paul spoke about; but now they all want to try to sound like Ron Paul!
If you have trouble deciding who to vote for for the GOP nod, maybe you want to take the advice of a man who has voted "correctly" every election cycle...Gene Simmons:

Ron Paul: Is He Truly The GOP Leader?

It would be awesome to see him win, if only to make every news announcer in the country look ridiculous...more ridiculous, for discounting him as a player for the entire campaign.
In the end however, they were probably right to.

It is incredibly funny to see and listen to how the media (on both ends of the spectrum) completely pretend like Ron Paul doesn't exist. I mean today I heard both CNN and FOX discuss everything that Cain, Perry, Romney, Gingrich, Bachman (and even Huntsman, who doesn't even come close to polling as high as Ron Paul!) had to say or what they politically viewed as important; but there was never any mention of Paul.
I think the majority of people do recognize this, and this is why whenever there is a television or internet poll; they just instinctively pick Ron Paul as the one who won the debate (of which if you are fairly politically oriented would recognize the truth).
Will he win the GOP nod? No. The big interests wouldn't want someone that was pro-For-the-People and smaller government. They would like to keep the big corporate bail out system as it is, and make the rest of the middle class work harder and pay more taxes!
This is a totally different topic, but I think the party system shouldn't even exist! I think when a party system is in place, the party in power will always try to get the person less likely to succeed elected within the opposing party. This thinking should be the exact opposite. The party in power should want the best opposing member party that most closely resembles their preambles. That way if your political choice should happen to loose to the opposing member, at least it wouldn't have been as bad if you lost to someone that was way out of spectrum.
If Perry were to beat Obama...just think how pissed off liberals would be (not to mention a lot of libertarian conservatives!). Wouldn't it be better if the choice for president were Paul or Obama? Wouldn't it be better if Obama happened to lose, that Paul would take over instead of dooooshbag Perry or Romney?
This is why liberals should push to have Paul elected as the GOP lead...not because he would be an easy person to beat, but because he would be a better alternative than most of the GOP flipfloppers and war mongers.

The GOP needs him and then we can start the golden age of the "Paulian Era"
Re: Ron Paul: Is He Truly The GOP Leader?
i'm pretty surprised that the gop isn't embracing paul's candidacy more. his fan base is incredibly loyal and many of them will vote democratic/third-party if he doesn't get the nomination.
unless, of course, they have other motivations for disliking paul.

For most of them, to support Ron Paul is to support ending their own gravy train of corruption. We The People really need to do this on our own.
MAKE PLANS TO CAUCUS/PRIMARY IN YOUR STATES AND GET RON PAUL THE NOMINATION. BRING EVERYONE YOU POSSIBLY CAN AND ITS A DONE DEAL!
Ron Paul already has enough supporters to do this, all thats left is to get the supporters to show up and vote at their states primaries! Ron Paul came in second place in a lot of states in 2008, and his support has only grown since then, for terribly obvious reasons.
It's now or never! PEOPLES OF THE UNITED STATES RISE UP! Left Right Liberal Conservative Independent Libertarian Democrat Republican Everyone!
Unite our way into a golden age of freedom and liberty.
