Soundman, I am sure your setup is interesting but not everyone might. Try to "sell" your game in the first post a bit. I am sure some players dont want to join your first modded game because maybe they are thinking you just slapped it together and they dont know if you are going to half-ass it.

Maybe some information that isn't game breaking would help. Like maybe a broad list of possible roles? Are there a lot of vanilla? Or maybe just clean up the first post to make it more attention grabbing. A picture could be enough to get people to join

Also, since you have a few first-timers in here, make sure u PM them before the game actually starts. Make sure they are still around and will still be active to play. Make sure you pick up some replacements too. Players may have been good to go at the time of signing up, but its been a little while, make sure they still have time to play, because we all know finding replacements suck

I disagree. You don't really need to 'sell' your game. Its just that there has been a bunch of recently made games popping up and currently the forum has been kind of quiet. I've actually been holding off starting my next game due to this. I'm waiting until some of these others start up first.

Just be patient. It'll start when players have the time for it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll send out PMs before the game starts to make sure the new people are still in this. I thought about listing possible roles when I first put this up but decided against it. I'm afraid that it would actually compromise the setup. I spent quite a bit of time on it.

I'm hoping some of the guys being killed off in Actors will hop over here. That game is starting to move pretty quick.
