If Rome now starts on a neutral, shouldn't Constantinopolis?

Alright :) thanks for the explanation.

I hate starting neutrals, want to avoid them as much as I can. :)

Had to make Rome neutral because of lucky drops for the Rome/Constantinople bonus. The problem is solved, don't see any reason for making Constantinopolis also neutral at this point.

Agree, neutrals blow. I hope it is just a 2 neutral a 3 would be really bad.
Also, in game it is very difficult to notice which locations are capitals, either make the yellow outline brighter or maybe just put a tiny star somewhere on the territory to define it as a capital? (Hmmmm... I just noticed its because of BOB and whitening the map and circles by 20% each so maybe nevermind if no one else thinks so)

The map does not clearly describe situations in which negative troops are awarded. THere are times when I have zero troops due and I do not understand why. Very confusing.

This is the first time I'm so excited about a new map that I actually look for the creator to congratulate and thank him!

Learning the map is harder than usual, yet I get the (albeit very early) feeling that it's wonderfully balanced. This will surely spice up the 1v1 scene, where far too often the games are essentially over affter only 3-4 rounds.

Kudos! Thanks Kab!

I agree.

Because I'm a little slow (short bus), could someone tell me how I get zero deployable? Help me understand/

Like Remi said, you'll get -3 for each barbarian tribe you own located on the same side of your Emperor (Augustus). To compensate the negative effects of having Emperor+Tribes you need to hold Legions and Capitals

I would like to say that this map is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I was just wondering though if there was the possiblity of 'expanding' the map, IOW making everything about 25% larger, just to make it easier to see, especially the color difference between mediolanum and italia.

Other than that I LOVE this map!!!

Love this map. Even when getting my butt handed to me.

My favorite little complexity... luring someone into an augustus seat when it will hurt them more than help. Zero deploy.. awesome!

I'm inclined to reduce the Outpost starting neutrals from 4 to 3. Still not sure though.....

..or some of them, maybe excluding the Sassanids and the Angli which could be maintained at 4....

Honestly, I think it's perfect as is. I don't see why this map is still in beta.

I think it can be a possibility, but to be honest I don't think it's a necessary change. It seems to me that people is used to stack lot of troops into tribes, then have 3 or 4 neutrals into outpost won't do a great difference, but maybe I'm wrong. O:)

while this looks like a great map, i see that you guys made a major mistake.

you see, while researching the history of france, i realized that the only way this map would be historically accurate, is if the territory of GII would get a +15 autodeploy bonus, as the barbarians that lived there defied the rule of Rome against all odds!

i hope you concern yourself enough with getting history right as to put this in your map.

he's right. asterix and obelix were some mean motherf*ckers that kicked roman ass all day long.
i say +15 is not enough. make it +99
