Hi mate,

Can you let us know about this please -

[Game]Game 9230222[/Game] Round 52

I thought this game was capped to finish at 50 rounds - hence no winner - it is still going.

Can you let us know pls?

The new games he's making have the new built-in round limit. But when he made the previous batch, there were no built-in round limits yet. So, the 50 round cap only means that no score from that game goes into the tournament score, but unfortunately you still have to finish the game the old-fashioned way...:-)

Well, I see you walled mwaser and asked him to find a replacement. If he doesn't within some reasonable time-frame, and doesn't drop the game either you may have to re-make it. But I would try a couple PMs first; maybe he doesn't like having his dirty linen washed in public and there's some difficulty which he would tell you if you made it private. Or maybe hes forgotten that it's a dubs tourney... it never hurts to give more explanation than the bare minimum.

Updated Scores and everything will be put up next weekend.

Ere was some confusion as to how many players are going to next round. One third of all remaining teams will be eliminated.

Click this and you can see the bracket. I will start some games while waiting for the tiebreaks. The seeds were randomized, so ignore the numbers beside your name.

Just wondering how the games are going.
Noddy and I won our round and it looks like we will be playing Tripple 6 & nokelberry.
How is everything else progressing?

One tiebreaker is complete. One probably won't take much longer and the third may take a while.

Interesting phenomenon:

We have 2 tiebreakers left. I did a search for finished 6-player doubles games on those 2 maps so I could get an idea of how long they will take. There are 40 finished games on USA Southeast and 50 completed games on Forbidden City - both multiples of 10.

Anyways, the games on USA SE usually take around 10 turns, those on FC from 10-20. For those of you eagerly anticipating the ends of those games, you can count down.

in a very exciting finals best of 5,
the games
Game 10668310crusade
Game 10668318drug wars
were quickly put to an end by SirSebstar and Uptothemax.

of the remaining 3
Game 10668317south afrika
Game 10668323drug war
Game 10668322USA Southeast
the last one was going to be a quick win for the team 1 after they could easely get abonus in a nuclear game and team 2 managed to fail several key attacks.

this leaves the other 2 games. current concensus states that it is all up in the air. Team 2 tried to do a sweep in south afrika but failed to pull it off correctly (another dicefail) so we will see if team 1 manages to snatch the victory away.

were quickly put to an end by SirSebstar and Uptothemax.

Game 10668322USA Southeast
went to the amazing [player]Gold Knight[/player] and [player]dustin800[/player], who showed such good skill that they managed to put a nuclear game on a (medium) large map to its proper end, by nuking it!!

of the remaining 2
Game 10668323drug war
Drug wars is going to be a game i might get nightmares over. Such a heavy rolereversal. We got an early bonus on the patrol cars, where i knew it would not last. We had neatly boxed red and were about to kill him, when they heavely turned the tables and took me out untill i had only 1 position left... It was an amazing sight to behold, and trust me, if i become old and never see such a game again, that be great.. I turned grey overnight!.

Game 10668317south afrika
.south afrika... what are the odds.... we defy them. for a chance to win i said we both have 2 spoils, we need a set on the 3th or 4th spoil to make it work. we are now both getting 5 spoils because we both dont have a single set........ i am betting on a very humiliating defeat, and there is a good chance that it is us ;-)

either way, however it turns out, a hardfought finals.....
