Sounds awfully close to America.

That's why the U.S. currently has 4.4% unemployment.....
because we're all poor
I would also like to say, that the Unites States is virtually 100% employed. The 4.4% are those that can't or won't work.
I know this was a couple of pages back, but just to say that those 4.4% should, in theory, be capable of and willing to work. It depends on exactly how the US counts its employed, but I get the impression that most economists currently agree that about 95% employment is the nearest you can get to 100%, otherwise there'd be no "slack" in the labour market - with the consequence that wage demands will become unsustainably high, eventually leading to boom-and-bust.
(And note that this 5% must be made up of people who are willing to work. And those hordes of Republican fantasy that don't want to work won't contribute to wage inflation, so they need to be discounted entirely.)
So there is no "full" employment anywhere, and governments do what they can to make sure of this. Even in the US.

Dare to elaborate?
Since the budget for education is being cut to make way for more elaborate military designs, kids are no longer learning about how the US goverment but more importantly how the tax process works. So to them tax is nothing more than money you HAVE to pay. No idea where it goes. In the future, even now, there are efforts to push flat tax because these guys have no idea how the current system works (or they're rich pricks who like their money so much they feel the urge to wrap it around their dick and beat themselves with it) or to lower taxes. Thus the education budget once again gets lowered, and the children have no idea what to learn.
Why the f*ck are we still teaching intelligent design?
Didn't know if you knew this, but compared to Europe our taxes our practically non-existent. For example, out gas $3 per gallon, Europe although in Liters, is around $8 peer gallon. Now the gas is the same price, but the added $5 dollars is all taxes. So, I don't see what you are complaining about.

Again, on the surface it may be easy to convince yourself that this is a benefit. In reality, however, taxation is much closer than it seems when simply looking at percentages levied on gas. Firstly, European taxation falls only on one level, national, whereas American taxes are also taken at the level of the state and at a more local level. This quote basically says what I just said:
Jim Blair wrote:Both sides tend to agree with this, and cite figures of 20% GNP going through government in the US vs 30-40% in Europe, Canada and Japan This idea has some LIMITED merit, but is overdrawn: if you add state and local taxes to federal figures for the USA, it is more like the 30% of the other industrial nations (most of them don't have state taxes in addition to the national taxes).
A further point to note is that most European nations are financing a policy of social welfare which gives us free education up to university level (although now sadly gone for the most part in the UK), free healthcare etc. etc. America, however, forces you to pay for such things. American colleges can charge massive fees compared to what you pay in Europe to go to University, and all this is reflected in European taxes.
Still think your tax rate is significantly better?

I think that this is the funniest shit in the world: Americans think that they won the war of 1812. This is impossible due to 3 major points: 1. WE BURNT DOWN THE WHITE HOUSE the fact that you can't protect your capitol building makes me lol. 2. Detoit surrendered to 300 native Canadians. 3. all territory gained or lost was given back at the end. 4. only in America is KFC and all you can eat buffet for $5.00
We are the Borg. We come to assimilate your technology. Resistance is futile

No, noone won the war of 1812. It was essentially a useless war.
You guys didn't join into either world wars, so basically, you guys killed more people by not entering and waiting.
I have found, in CC, france is statistically the worst country to attack out of. I have yet to win when I have had more than 6 guys on france and am attacking another nation.
I am 1/16th irish. Booya.

You guys handed out a significant amount of pain.
It's cause we're badass. And though we may not have joined WWII till later, we were the ones who broke hitler's coastal defense in Normandy, and we were the ones who turned the tide. And everyone seems to forget, that while we were doing all that for Europe, we were fighting Japan nearly single handedly. A considerable amount of pain indeed. haha.

I would like to remind you that you were not the only ones at Normandy.
The British and Canadians were also there.
You guys started the war with japan by yourself.
