It is not a minor point and something I was going to comment on. You don't have to have autodeploys for each region, but you shouldn't have two in one region, especially next to each other.

yea, i get it. i meant it wasn't important at this point in time, the map is still in the pot at the moment...

chaos32679 wrote:Thanks Dukasaur. I get what you're saying, but i don't want to make up regions, i wanted to keep it real. When you talk to someone from jersey, they are from north jersey, not northwest/east jersey...

Well, I've only ever known two people from N.J. One described herself as being from the Delaware Valley, and the other described himself as being from the Hudson Valley, so I wasn't actually making those up.

Atlantic Shore is a very common term used in travel magasines, and Leeward Shore is a perfectly plausible term for the opposite side. I see the names haven't been finalized, I think you might want to give my suggestion a second look.

Or not. It's ultimately your decision.

[MOVED] to the drafting room. This is looking a lot better. I think this could benefit greatly from some impassable's as well.

ok, new map posted. i changed the look and feel a bit, wanted it to look more like an old map. map will only have 1 auto (trenton) instead of 5.

working on possibly adding some impassables. also need region names, and bonus amounts.

stay tuned...

I like the color scheme, and it gave me an idea for your impassables--how about urban legends like sewer alligators, rat kings, jimmy hoffa grave sites etc?

i believe region bonuses are determined by amount of lands bordering the region/routes to break bonus.

one of th emap guys can verify this but I thought that was standard formula

Try this. This is an excel spreadsheet to help with determining the bonuses.

getting there. dont know much about the location of the rivers and such and I know they are just there as barriers but they seem awkward or not in the right spot. Looks sweet though.

they are pretty accurate, location wise. raritan is a little off, its big, would create too much of a bottle neck in the middle, and that area already is tight...

define awkard...

one thing you can do which would make it look nicer is to include the whole river but just add little bridges or something where you want people to still be able to cross. graphically it might work better

awkward...i dont know, I little blue line running across a terr or two and then just ending...just seems odd

You could add the capital as a country with an auto-deploy function. This would balance out the necessity of a good drop. Also, the rivers still look like that they were added on a whim... It's a good idea, it just needs some major work still.
