I'll step in as a reserve if you need me
Important Tournament Notice

The data for ALL of my tournaments has potentially been lost. I am working to recover it but as I am away on business all of this week, there will be some delay. Sincere apologies.

I'd like to thank everyone who stepped in as reserves. Now that we're entering the 5th round, and I have exhausted my supply of reserves, I will not be seeking out any more. Groups which lose players will continue on a player short.

Doodle earth and Luxembourg is not on the prohibited maps list! Should they really be allowed? 8 player esc games on Luxembourg or Doodle earth is way more unfair settings than 8 player esc on lets say New World!!! Of course it's really not my business since I'm not in this tourney but I think you might want to consider banning them with these settings!

I didn't prohibit maps because they were "unfair", but because they don't meet the format I've chosen for the tournament. You're right - Doodle Earth & Luxembourg can be highly luck-based. But the point of "Loser's Choice" is for the losers of games to give themselves an advantage by picking a map they like. If they choose a smaller map, they're only hurting themselves by not taking advantage of the opportunity I've given them. That's why I haven't taken those maps off the list.

It seems quite a few people are not taking advantage of their "Loser's Choice". If you prefer Classic, that's fine...but most other people do too!

I'm giving over 24 hours for the loser to reply to my PM, but if the time passes, and I see my PM is no longer in my outbox, there's a good chance I'll start the next game to keep the tournament moving. It doesn't take long to hit the "Reply" button and give me a map you like!

mickunited333 has gone freemium and does not have open slots, so Delta group is down to 6 players.

This tournament thread has not been visibly updated in a while. By “visibly updated” I mean that the thread has not been bumped for at least 2 months by posting a new post or reply.

We routinely check the last few pages of the “Ongoing Tournaments” Forum for inactive tournaments. If your tournament thread is on those last pages, we have to check to see if your tournament is still active, which can be quite a lot of work.

Please help us in our quest to find inactive tournaments and update your thread regularly and then also post that you have updated it (if your tournament is still active). This will get the active threads and tournaments bumped to the first page, and significantly lessen our workload of checking for inactive tournaments.

For more information about updating your tournament thread and avoiding your tournament being labeled “inactive”, see also: Keeping Your Tournament Active & Updated

Thank you very much in advance,

tokle

We're in the final round - only one game being played at a time, and the standings are actively updated. I'll be sure to bump the thread with each new game. Thanks.

If no one has an issue with it, I'm going to be starting the next game as soon as a player is eliminated, until someone gets to 4 wins. Shouldn't affect much; it will just move this along at a faster pace.

Also, after the idea was mentioned in another tournament, I'm going to mix up the play order each round. It will be random from now on.
