i believe that it wouldn't work, because of how long it is...you could build up at the top or the bottom, and just work their way through...maybe if you added ports or something...

it would be similar to the Indochina map. But a few ports would make it better i agree.

at least 3 ports id say

What a about a World war I battlefield

Trenchlines facing each other, no man's land, machine gun nests, bunkers, aid posts, weapon caches
borders could be defined with barbed wire

Abstract Art just basically means you get to draw whatever the heck you want.

You could make it actually have a "real" theme for the same continent/territory border counts, and be a lot better off.

What about a map that had a lot of impassible borders within continents, but not very many along the borders.

For example, you could take something like the Ohio Map http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16737 and then add impassible borders within each color zone, but leave it totally open where the colors border each other.

This would make it hard to navigate within your own continent and would slow down continent acquisition. Might make for a fun new style of game.

Does that make sense?

how about a map of Denmark?....

IMO this game needs some smaller maps, so that you can play a fast game... if you wanna do that some times :)

Just an idea

Post by Sunstripe »

Perhaps there could be a map of the Roman Empire at its height? I think that would be an interesting idea but maybe there is one already out there!

what about a map of the ancient world with the persian empire durring the hight of the Achaemenid Empire brocken up as contenents into the persian homeland, mesopotamia, central asia (I can't realy think of what to call persia's eastern expantions), egypt, northern persia (incudes most of turkey and would border Central asia to the north). for greece you could only have one contenent with the most countries. I can't make this so I hope someone overlooks all of my typos and makes this map.

Hyrule map

Post by IngredientZ »

I bet someone has thought of this already, but it'd be really cool to have a map of Hyrule from Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I don't know who's in charge of making maps, but yeah, Hyrule would be great.

Dynamic Map

Post by shaddowfire »

I remember someone mention they wanted to create a dynamic map, something that would change after each round. Something like a wall in the British Isle, except every other round it would attack the opposite round.

I was discussing with ALG, and a friend of ours came up with the idea of a Hogwarts map (for those who might have a life, Hogwarts is the School that Harry Potter goes to). The dynamic part of this map would be the movable staircase. I really like this idea, I was wondering what everyone else thought though?
Blades will bleed. Shields will shatter. But as the light fades, will the hero rise again or will darkness reign?

not currently possible...the way site works would have to change to be able to do this.
