add a little scribble that says "penguins live here" with an arrow to the bottom of the map.

I think it'd look cool with a "lined paper" background (with the red margin line running down the left side).

Those are my two favorites also.

There is seriously going to be a problem picking just one.

How about you do a second round of voting, with one choice being World 0.5 and the other choices being new?

Wow, I've been working so hard, I'm already up to Draft 6:

Image

Issues addressed:
- ) Adjusted bonus chain
- ) Adjusted Ukranian coast
- ) Made UK biggerer
- ) Some new territory names
- ) Added Boat doodle, upgraded Laurie
- ) Colored Greenland
- ) Slight canvas background

Issues not addressed:
- ) Crayons strewn about could not be properly converted to PNG from Photodraw format because of unexplained technical difficulties.
- ) Title
- ) Any other brilliant ideas

I've given this map plenty of opportunity to grab my interest, but I'm afraid I see little value in this map. Small maps are fine, but another world map? Seriously?

The crayon style design is an interesting concept, but I don't think it makes for an overly appealing map. If you want to pursue a kid/fun design, I would have thought a cartoon style would be more appropriate. Also, I'm not sure any sort of geographical map is ideally suited to a kid orientated design. I'd prefer to see something more approprate, like a puzzle, colouring book, toy store, play ground, etc.

OK..totally support this one. Only problem is bonuses arent written on it (you sure are working on that..uh? maybe above the human line?)

And yea, keep that childish look, that is probably the greatest thing about this map.

The human line is the bonuses. No. of people=No. of armies. I do think it could be made clearer, though.

What do you mean another? There are only two and they're different enough from each other; the United States has about three. Anyway, I think this map distinguishes itself enough from the regular world map, and any other map, gameplay-wise. In the How to Make A Map topic Andy wrote, "A map should be ‘inherently unique either in gameplay, location, or style’." I think I've got two out of three here, which isn't that bad.

I will get right on that. Priority one, I guarantee you.

OHHHHHH.

Haha...sorry about my lacking ability to think outside the box. Pretty clever, I shall agree. Though yes..probably could be made clearer, though a small note will do. Thanks for pointing this out..sorry :P

I wanted to make my first post in the foundry just to say that I really think this is a great idea, and I hope it gets added. The map and the theme go together well, and I think this would be a fun one to play a quick game on. Someone should playtest it.

I think this is going to be an "I love it" map for some and an "I hate it" map for others. There really doesnt seem too much in between.

I LOVE IT!!

you need a small drawing off the east coast of N America.
