I can say right now this map isn't going to work at that size, but I think wider, not taller is the way to go. I know it might skew things but...
Anyway! Another choice would be to cut the territories down. Not that I mind 51 territories, but everything looks really small right now.
Right now it doesn't look like you have a good chance. It's usually a good idea to get some names down for countries and have them on the map before you introduce it to the foundry. Very few maps make it without that being done right when people are first able to comment.

long, narrow maps make for bad game play because the winner is likely to be somebody who is lucky enough to start on one end or the other... in this case it will be won by whoever starts in algarve, because it's the only continent one could conquer and hold in the first few turns.
Also, the territories are too small for names and army circles. A map this small doesn't hold 51 territories very well, and making it bigger will make it hard to play because it won't fit on a screen.
If you do continue, move the title and legend to the side so you can expand the actual map within the image area. Other than that, I have no interest in helping with this map - sorry.
What if you instead made a map of the 16th Century Portguese Empire, including settlements in Brazil and western Africa? You could have sea routes between major ports in addition to land routes. It lends itself to an old navigational chart look, like the High Seas map was going for.
Very helpful comment as usual unriggable. When you make these statements please do say what's wrong with the bonuses and how they can be fixed or else just refrain from commenting. This is the kind of comment that irritates me and that does not help the foundry process in any way.

I suspected spelling mistakes lol. was taking the names from a number of maps lol.

Good luck!
The map is currently in a vertical position. Portugal is in a vertical position. I meant kind of rotating the map to put Portugal in a horizontal position so that when a player plays the map he does not have to scroll down to access the buttons. This is an annoying feature in some of the maps when you play it in the large version.
I am assuming this is the small version of the map as making anything smaller than that would be unplayable so you will also have to produce a large version and this problem might arise. That is why I am suggesting you use a horizontal perspective. Do you understand what I mean now?
