My two favorites, Age of Merchants (kissing up to DiM) and San Fran....I love the Google Earth aspect of that map

Ironically, the google earth graphics was what got the Cairo map shelved...

i hold 3 maps on the same aesthetic level... Age of Merchants (brilliant), Vomit (GENIUS), and the falsely labeled Vace Cooper "super cool map" (labelled as abandoned, but coop was ahead of his time and the small size of the map was scoffed at by foundry regs... now look at the 1v1 play the site has and you realize how brilliant this map truly was!!)... anyway, check it out! hopefully, natty can help coop make this a reality some day....

All of those are hilarious! I think Doodle Waterloo was the funniest. Doodle Arms Race  =D>

Balkan Peninsula and Napoleonic Europe are the prettiest maps to me.

I usually do like yours though, natty. They all have a great color scheme I think, with a lot of blues in them.

WWII Europe is graphically horrible. It's full of pixelation, blurry borders, blurry arrows... everything looks either blurry or pixelated.

I was browsing the Viewing Gallery earlier. Which maps do you think are among the top prettiest for the year they were put into play?

It's funny, I think WW2 Europe graphically is cluttered but otherwise fine. Certainly doesn't look as bad as, say, Antarctica, NYC, Korea, Pro Chicago, or The Citadel. :D

I hate NYC. It looks like a 6-year-old boy drew it and then let his 4-year-old sister color it in with the shitty crayon nubs at the bottom of the box.

To be fair, WWII Europe could do with a revamp. I asked qwert if he'd be willing to redo it at supersize (before larger maps were announced) and his response was qwert-ish through and through!
