peeved bad

Post by jgordon1111 »

ok this is once to many times/and dont say put it in the bugs forum. the format to say whats going on sucks. i am tired of almost everytime i play a speed game cc freezes and usually right before my turn,or during my turn. no other site i am on does this to include gaming sites. this has cost me several games and i am not freaking happy about it. oh i can get back on usually just in time to miss my turn. i stopped playing speed games for a long time to see if my computer would do it during normal play or on other sites no just here on cc and at just the right time to insure i lose.dice are crazy but that happens to all of us sometimes.your site fix it. and i would like to know when you get it done. thanks appreciate your time. oh the last game number was 9487283

This would actually go into the [Official] Website Lag Report thread, so I'll merge it there! Whenever something times out on CC more than normal, please post there :D

Nice. Paranoid much?

Dude. No one gives a shit about your games. If it freezes... a) close your browser, give it 20 seconds to close and reopen and try again; b) turn your router off, wait a sec and start again; c) reboot your comp and enter again; and d) tell your sister the house is on fire, watch her run out the door and jump on her lap-top and boot up your game.

You sound like me when I was toking heavily last year... clean and sober people, clean and sober. And I hate it...

For the past four days or so, whenever I begin a turn, there's a slight pause before I can deploy troops, only for a second or two, and then everything runs smoothly.. I get occasional time-outs, but I've been having them for about a year, so it's nothing new. It might be partially caused by clickable maps, but I'm not sure why. This happens on two different computers, one a PC, and one a laptop.

Firefox 6
BOB + Clickable maps, etc.

So every turn there is a slight pause? Is it on the gameboard after clicking begin turn / using hotkeys, or as you enter the gameboard?

Seem to have an extraordinary number of timeouts today, and always while rolling dice. I think the Summer Bash dice graphic may be glitchy.

Same for me, at roughly the same time this was posted (perhaps a bit before). I'm not so sure it's the dice graphics, though.

It's that time again! Honestly every day from about 6pm until 6:15 or so in South Korea the game becomes nigh unplayable due to lag. Is there some sort of server maintenance done at this time or something? I know most of the rest of the CC world is asleep but it sucks for us over here. And honestly this has been going on for years.

Right, we've identified a server slow-down at 5 AM CC Time or so, and Lackattack is investigating it.

I seem to time out a lot. Restarting Firefox does the trick, but it's still annoying.

Well, today was something quite different. In the forums instead of the games for a change.

Would hang on "your message has been successfully posted" and just sit there, instead of redirecting to the completed message. Happened for approximately the last hour or so.

2:21 a.m. PDT. It typically always times out when I'm attacking around this time of night, but I can maneuver the rest of the site and the rest of the interwebs.

Quite frustrating.

Looks like you are another victim of the 5 AM CC Time slowdown. Lucky for me, I am usually asleep then.
