Shockingly it appears that this was not a traditional terrorist attack committed by islamists but the work of a white christian Norwegian far right conservative! The number of dead in total is closing in on a hundred! It's the biggest massacre committed by a single person known!
Here's a picture of him!

Purpose: Create Terror Group behind it: Muslim Terrorists
Just a guess.
I would be very surprised if it turned out to be Buddhist terrorists! Or even more surprised if the people who did it weren't religious! There's something about religion and bombs that goes hand in hand it seems!
I think you can scratch FBI! They only work within the U.S.! (I think)

Don't say Pimpdave didn't warn us. ;3
Hah! Pimpdave probably set the bombs in a sick twisted attempt to justify his perverted world views!!
Okay so we've got our first suspect!!! Exciting thought but it won't hold up in court unless we can prove he wasn't logged in during the time of the bombings!!! (with court I mean this thread!)
I think this is Bush's fault!! He ordered the destruction of World Trade center so this must be a walk in the park for him! Or maybe it's Obama's attempt to follow in Bush's footsteps that we're seeing now!!

The Prime ministers office got demolished but he was not there. This event is the first of it's kind in Scandinavia and western Europe! What do you think was the purpose with the bombings and what group was behind it?
Great link I'm putting it in the original post! And yes it's terrible! I live not very many miles from Oslo and have been there many times! A very sad thing indeed! Maybe it will open our politicians eyes since politicians in both Norway and Sweden has been so naive and have up until very recently maintained that the biggest security threat is Neo Nazists not Islamists!

I'm not sure about that even in Scandinavia alone ... what about when the Swedish Prime Minister was assassinated in downtown Stockholm, or the Foreign Minister was assassinated a few years ago in her bedroom, or the capture of the "FR" German embassy in Stockholm by Baader-Meinhoff, or the letter bombing campaign in Stockholm in the early 80's ... as for western Europe, just off the top of my head I can think of the British subway bombing, next month is the anniversary of the 1980 bombing of the Bologna train station by fascists where nearly 100 people died, "FR" Germany was racked by guerilla attacks in the 1970s like the assassination of Rudy Dutschke, you can't blink in Spain without ETA blowing something up, in Belgium and France you have the CCC and Action Directe, also the UK (Northern Ireland) over the last 50 years ... though, it's true this type of activity seems relatively unknown in Eastern Europe.
Hopefully the Norwegian government embraces this tragedy as an opportunity for peaceful reflection into the root causes of terrorism and how tactics of social justice and multiculturalism can be used to diffuse communal tensions, instead of cowboying up. (Fortunately, Norway has nothing to cowboy up with so I'm confident they'll go the peaceful reflection route by default.)

I meant terrorist attack to a government building! No Prime ministers office in western Europe has ever been bombed before as far as I know!

Norway has a labour government (Social Democrat) but has soldiers in Afghanistan and is active in the operation against the Lybian regime.
So it could be right wing extremists (I think the guy disguised a police officer they arrested at the island was a blond dude, not a middle eastern type) but it could be muslim extremists as well.

I think it's to early to say how many has been killed! The number usually grows after a day! Has got to be the first blonde muslim extremist I've ever heard off!

That's so cute! Yes, they're SUPPOSED to only work within the U.S. Unfortunately, that is not the case any longer.
...I prefer a man who will burn the flag and then wrap himself in the Constitution to a man who will burn the Constitution and then wrap himself in the flag.
I think everything except an Islamist "hate the western world" organization can be considered unrealistic when it comes to this attack! It was clearly political since it targets a government building containing the office of the prime minister! And the right wing is not so extreme in Norway or any part of Scandinavia for that matter that it would plot an attack like this! Then there's the case with the blond dude? Well it's not really hard to get hold of young government hating left wing bordering communists bums in Scandinavia!
