Has cc ever considered giving players the ability to form an alliance in a standard game. The players that form the alliance would split the points if victorious. I think this could be a lot of fun. I'm currently involved in a game that"s been stuck in a seemingly endless three way battle. Right now, I would join an alliance with either of my opponents. (or, they would probably form an alliance and wipe me out) Perhaps the alliances could only be formed after a certain number of rounds has passed, say 75. Once the alliance has formed, you can pass troops to your new partner just like a team game. This would help reduce the amount of "why are you attacking me and not him?" whining and also help bring some of these ridiculously long games to an end.

Concise description:
Allow players in a standard game to mutually form an alliance.


Specifics/Details:
After a set number of rounds, say 75, players would have the option to form alliances if they mutually agree. Once the alliance is formed, the alliance members can fortify and reinforce each other just like a team game. They would split the points if victorious.


How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
This would bring diplomacy and strategy to a new level. It would put an end to most of those ridiculously long 3 way battle games.

Thanks for using the form.

I'm guessing this is going to get canned for the same reasons as every other diplomacy feature -- too "easy" for friends to abuse this feature and farm points.

This gets rejected so frequently due to the fact that if it were to be implemented, I could go into a game knowing that, after a set number of rounds, you and I would team up and kill everyone else. How would that be fair to all the other people who wanted to just play a standard game. If you want to play team games, then sign up for them. Sorry, but this is rejected.
