Welcome to the inaugural tourney hosted by seadan (seamusk & danfrank). We are looking for 32 doubles teams to join and conquer the castle . This Tournament will consist of 5 rounds on 5 maps. The settings for the tournament will be Seq , Auto, Flat, Chained, no fog.
Round 1 will be played in a round robin format where all teams will play each other 1 time. The top 16 teams will advance to round 2 . All tie breakers will be won by the team with lowest point total when signing up. So please post your teams score upon sign up. Round 2 through 5 will be a bracket competition (best of 5 games to advance) and seedings will be determined by the results of the round 1.
Requirements: This tourney will be open to premiums only due to the amount of games that will be played. Attendance must be at least 97 percent. Participation will be on first come, first serve basis. We'd like to get at least a few reserves as well just in case someone needs to drop out.
Clarification: Because the first round is a round robin, we don't need 32 teams to play it. That's our goal but we figure we can play this with 20 or more. This will help in case we are unable to get the full field of 32.
Folks have started to finish their games so I've added the current standsings to the second post. I'll try and update this daily. Note that the embedded standings is the top 16 at any given moment. Right now, of course, we are far from that being meaningful. But the link will show the complete standings for all 25 teams.
Standings are updated. Sorry, there were some delays last week in updates while I figure out the best way to keep the standings up to date. Updates should happen at least every other day. Right now there are 66 completed games and 78 active games. We'll wait for a good chunk of games to end before sending out the next bunch of games. Hopefully everyone is having fun!
Sorry for the slow updates on the recent results. I was on vacation. But I've made the update tonight. So check out the standings in the second post. 69 active games still remaining. Good luck to all of us battling to survive round 1!
With 255 games completed and 32 games remaining in the first round, I've updated the standings to include information on tiebreaker ratings, games remaining, etc... Remember, top 16 teams advance to bracket rounds. Good luck!
