It's pretty clear there's a few things fishy about what GT is claiming and he hasn't done much to substantiate it. The biggest issue for me is that both shm and target, our biggest scum suspects, jumped on the Victor bus which GT of course started. I'm still waiting to get a final say before I vote and bring him to L-1.

I think it is fair to admit that I may be wrong about Sully. The argument seems metagammy to me at the moment, but having just played with him as a cult recruiter, I guess I was more persuaded.

I can safely say the message was from a chief character, it is his kingdom of heaven line from the movie. It is possible he is a town mason or something to that extent, but I do not see why he would have denied sending something.

Either way the case against me pretty much depends on whether or not I was wrong for trying to out what I thought at the time was a cult recruiter. Perhaps I was incorrect there and should be lynched for it. I still believe it is possible that he is a cult recruiter, but it would go against the flavor of the game possibly upon further reflection. To that end I believe I previously unvoted him, which seems to have been mostly ignored by people pushing my lynch.

As far as my delayed postings and relative lack of information, that was due to being away from the game for a while, which is regrettable. I do not feel I am the only one who has committed such an error and do not feel it necessitates my lynch.

I do not think my original claim was all that fishy. I don't think it would be that surprising that someone would not want to claim the singing telegram girl, the motorist had similar apprehensions about claiming their role as well. Especially considering we did not put the character in the likely universe roles (if I remember correctly), I did not feel it made a whole lot of sense to jump right out and claim it at the beginning of the mass claim.

I did cause I felt that was the biggest threat to down and as i already described what would Got tonked get from lying about it one more day? That to me seemed like a good idea to lynch him. I don't understand how i am considered scum. I am who i am. I am not lying about anything i agree with you shm is the one that i feel is the scumest so far.

I have 2 main concerns:

1 - Victor indeed being a cult recruiter
2 - someone sending GT a PM that was supposedly sent by Victor - after one dies and flips town, we automatically lynch the other (and get 2 townies lynched 2 days in a row)

Without cooperation we can't really know what's going on. There are, obviously, more possibilities other than 1 and 2 (like Victor being a town mason recruiter), but they are not harmful to us. I asked GT to at least differentiate the PM he got between the 2 models I gave him, so we could possibly outrule one of the possibilities (and fear of being modkilled is not an excuse, as GT had enough time to talk to the mods and know exactly what he was allowed to reveal and what he wasn't), but he instead chose to explain why he hadn't answered so far instead of actually answering the damn question. That considered, I'm willing to hammer GT in compliance with the threat I made some pages ago (an unfortunate event, as I'd rather get VS or SHM killed, but I gave my word and I have to abide by it).

Are we done discussing for today?

I'd suggest every "cleared townie" to disclose as much information as they currently have (and can disclose without harming the town, obviously), since they are the primary NK targets. I don't want to see them die before revealing all they knew just like Commander, Pyrhhus and Nark did.

i kinda agree with scully here but GT's answer did not answer any of our question's i am going to wait to vote on him for one more day to see if he respond's to rodian's model question. and hopefully more info on the PM i would prefer to lynch SHM over GT right now

The main grounds is that calling VS a cult recruiter is the most serious accusation you can make in this game. It is like if I told the police in RL that someone is a pedophile. I need to know what was in your mind that caused you to think that he is a cult recruiter. Seeing the actual pm, it still doesn't cause me to see where you figured that cult recruiter is the only possibility. I (and probably others) did google the quote. Rodion asked you a simple question and you never actually answered it.

So, I still want to lynch you for several reasons:
1) Making an almost baseless accusation in order to get a confirmed townie lynched; as town there is no reason to do this
2) Insulting players of the game and treating both the massclaim and any questioning of you in the lightest of terms (when they should've been taken seriously)
3) Continuosly avoiding questions and/or skimming
4) Inertia, changing votes takes a lot of work

However, I will unovte vote shm, as I feel we have almost gotten to the bottom of this.

But now that our accusation of cult recruiter is a bit less confident then before, we might need to reevaluate. To me, it seems there is something clearly fishy between GT and Victor though. I just can't buy that both are townies after what we went though (especially since we're still looking for a couple more suspects given the number of mafia roles we know we have).

However, what I propose is to leave that question later on so that investigative roles can do their magic (if we have any), and in the meantime we can pursue one of our surer lynches like shm or target.

Having seen the movie (which apparently no one in this game has - and you should it is not that bad), I knew exactly who the character was that sent that message. Now, regrettably, not having all the time in the world to think it through, and under meta-game pretenses (POTC), it made perfect sense for a Sully recruiter to recruit me. This was the biggest reason I suspected cult recruiter, not the other obvious option, which would be some mason of some sort.

Having thought more about the game mechanics, there really is no reason for a cult to be here at all. Thus, I changed my tune on Sully. As Rocky once said, if I can change, you can change, we can all change.

I have already gone into the reasons why I was hesitant to be involved with the mass claim, as I felt my character was weak in terms of the in game universe. The motorist had similar concerns about claiming their role.

I do think voting for SHM is a sensible thing to do, as other than the protracted me and Sully bit, he has dropped scum tells.

I don't think quoting the PM was actually necessary after I had basically broken the question down into "model 1 or model 2".

However, there were no " " (quotation marks) in the PM, so it's not as simple to see where the message ends and the mods start.

Victor, can you confirm that you sent this message yourself (it doesn't necessarily implicate you as the cult recruiter)?

If we drop this VS/GT convo (at least for now), SHM becomes the next best target.

As this part seems to be directed at me, my response is fair enough. I have indeed seen the movie however, and Tim Curry is wonderful in it. That's why I don't believe Target. There's never been a Mr. Boddy's personal chef in any medium of Clue except for Mrs. Ho. There's also nothing this game to suggest that there's two chefs, despite the little bit of flavor he quoted.
