Wow there should be rules about games that the opponent starts with an unbreakable bonus

Looks like N.C will roll over James Madison with cunning strategy...

He started first in: ALL 3
In one of them he dropped a bonus of 5 regions, and took all my mountains.... so that one is over
By the time i took my turn in another that he started out with three singles bonuses, he also took a bonus that is unbreakable worth 3

So i have not even looked at the last map yet nor have taken a turn in any and i have already lost. WoW

Love this tourney, and I like the settings too. Generally. But is there any possible way to make it so that one team doesn't get to start first in all three games? I had a great tournament going, but in this round started last in each game. And by my FIRST turn, my opponent had a bonus on EACH of the three games. And with unlimited reinforcements to defend those bonuses, it's impossible to come back in all three games.

It just really sucks, these weren't even remotely fair games. Hard to take at this late round of the tourney.

Maybe next year move to chained reinforcements at least?

Navy jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a solo shot in the top of the first, but St. John's rallied in the 7th to tie it at 1-1. A walkoff blast for Navy ensures that another game will be played in this region. Navy 2, St. John 1

There is a way to make it so one team doesn't get to start first in all three games, but it's difficult to enforce and easy for non-experienced tourney players to screw up, so I choose not to include it in my tournaments. Sorry your drops were poor, but that's how CC goes sometimes.

I use a variety of spoils/reinforcements/fog options, with plenty of chained maps as well ;)

How is it possible to make sure one person does not start every game?

Send two of the games out as Freestyle and institute a tournament rule that Player A must start one of them and Player B must start the other.
Or, if you prefer, rule that the third game won't be counted if the same player starts all 3, and recreate it until the other player starts.

And in the Ft. Worth Regional TCU gets by Oklahoma for it's rematch with Dallas Baptist (who I was shocked to discover actually did win this regional in real life!)

Standings are updated. 15 of the 16 Regionals are done; Super Regionals will begin as soon as things are decided in Tallahassee. Super Regional 1 may start early due to a freemium participant; I told him he could start when his game load could handle it.
