[UI] Automatically end turns if no reinforcements possible
In situations where one is unable to make reinforcements, why do we need to click on "End Reinforcements"? Why even present us with that option? Why not just end the turn automatically?
Similarly, in situations where no attacks are possible (i.e., only one army on each territory), why do we need to click on "End attacks" or whatever that link is titled? Why not automatically end the turn entirely in such scenarios, since neither attacks nor reinforcements are possible?

Because of the Freestyle setting. People have been known to take turns on Team games at the same time, and this could very easily ruin that.

Then leave it the same on Team Freestyle, but remove it in all other cases.

Snorlax, but this option seems pretty convenient to me.

Also, if reinforcements end automatically, then you are forced to draw a nuke:(

Instead of letting time run out and effectively beating the system? This comment makes me want to agree with the suggestion...
But I do not agree with it in any freestyle game, sometimes it is good to end assaults, and not end till the last second in order to keep yourself from gaining a card and being eliminated

Ditto

I hate to say this but I think you're being slightly hypocritical. Purposely running out of time in order to not receive a spoil in a freestyle game (assuming you bombarded/assaulted at least one territory during the given turn), is just as cheap as purposely running out of time in order to not receive a spoil in a nuclear game.

Nonono, he means getting the card until the LAST second. Not missing the card altogether.

My mistake, apologies to kooler.

Re: Automatically end turns if no reinforcements possible
It's still a strategy used by people in Freestyle games. I don't insult the strategies that the freestylers have developed and I would prefer if they didn't insult the strategies us nukers use. They are both legitimate uses of the game. Neither are breaking the rules but we are all bending the rules. Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, as they say.

Re: Automatically end turns if no reinforcements possible
You guys are talking about ways in which making what appear to be obvious changes will impact strategies in various games. My only point was that it is silly to provide superfluous steps for users to take. If there are no attacks to be made, then why require a user to click on "End Attacks" or whatever that button is called? If there are no reinforcements to be made, why require a user to click on "End Reinforcements"?
You guys are pointing out how such a rule change might impact strategy. However, strategy is based on what is and is not allowed by the rules of the game. More precisely, it is about exploiting inefficiencies. No matter what the rules are, there will always be inefficiencies to exploit. My only point is that it's dumb to force users to make these superfluous clicks. It wastes time, especially when one is playing a speed game and a user forgets to click on one of these buttons, and everybody has to sit there for several minutes.
I would also point out that it is obviously inefficient to allow for a rule that encourages users to just sit there and wait for time to expire, or to just sit there until the last possible second before ending a turn, or whatever. I'd like to see rules that fosters efficiency. I will admit that I have not thought about how this might impact freestyle games, but freestyle is such a mindless variation of this game that I can't say that I care at all.

You don't have to care about freestyle games, but some people do, and the entire purpose of posting to Suggestions is to get input from people with different perspectives, who play different parts of the game. Your suggestion will only be submitted if it doesn't hurt the freestyle games. You're right that it is inefficient to have it set like this in sequential games, but it might not be so easy to program this change only for those games.

End the turn when there are no reinforcement possible
Concise description:
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
- Instead of having to click on "end reinforcements" when there's the message "you can't make reinforcments", the turn automacally ends
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
- It's more relevant and user-friendly and would speed up speed games

Re: End the turn when there are no reinforcement possible
In sequential sure. But in freestyle it is possible that while there might not be anywhere to reinforce now it might be before your turn ends. With like team games, or maybe future maps with conditional borders. So it should NOT be implemented for freestyle.

This exactly.

Wow, I didn't even think of that when I first read this. Great point. And just from a coding perspective, the site doesn't want to have any more additional, unique coding for different game types than it has to.

lol daku, about what you said in freestyle makes me want to agree with the suggestion too.... freestyle sucks this way, it needs to be made more about real tactics(or dice) and less about using the system
