2011 NCAA Baseball [Winner: chiefsfan4ever]

Post by dowian2 »

Welcome to the 2011 NCAA Baseball playoffs!

This tournament will follow the NCAA baseball playoff system through its three stages: Regionals, Super Regionals, and College World Series. There will be 64 players playing in a 1v1 format; all baseball games in the bracket are a best-of-3 Conquer Club series. Freemiums are welcome, but you must keep at least three slots open. Maps and settings are listed below - there are a variety of maps, so take a look to see where you want to play. All games are Automatic and Sequential. If you sign up without a team preference, you will be randomly assigned a team. I reserve the right to completely ignore you if your method of signing up proves to me that you haven't read this thread at all ;) [Example: Signing up to play on the Canada map, signing up with a partner, signing up to be a university that didn't qualify for the baseball playoffs, etc.]

Regionals
The 64 teams are broken up into 16 groups of four, who will play in a double-elimination bracket.
1. Team A vs Team D
2. Team B vs Team C
3. Loser Game 1 vs Loser Game 2
4. Winner Game 1 vs Winner Game 2
5. Winner Game 3 vs Loser Game 4
6. Winner Game 4 vs Winner Game 5
7. Winner Game 6 vs Loser Game 6 (if necessary)
Super Regionals
The 16 remaining teams will each play one best-of-3 series, with the 8 winners advancing to the College World Series. For clarification's sake, note that this means you will be playing either 6 or 9 CC games in the Super Regional; there are three baseball games in the Super Regional, each of which is a best-of-3 Conquer Club series.

College World Series
The College World Series is two four-team double elimination tournaments, with the winners meeting in the championship series, which is a best-of-3 affair (similar to the Super Regionals).
1. Team A vs Team B
2. Team C vs Team D
3. Team E vs Team F
4. Team G vs Team H
5. Loser Game 1 vs Loser Game 2

11. Winner Game 6 vs Winner Game 9
12. Winner Game 8 vs Winner Game 10
13. Winner Game 11 vs Loser Game 11 (if necessary)
14. Winner Game 12 vs Loser Game 12 (if necessary)
15/16/17. Championship series
If this is confusing and you want to see it in bracket form, the real NCAA bracket is here:

Texas A&M was just taken two posts before you. I'm putting you down as Wright St. for now, to ensure you can have the same map, but you're welcome to switch that out.
