Sure sounds like it, but I think it's a fake claim. He hasn't played like a jester for the majority of the game.

Not playing like a jester is a good strategy for a jester. Claiming Jester, not so much..

What do we know about 40k's normal play style? Does he normally play like this? I've never been in a game with him before, so I'm unfamiliar with what his "normal" is.

I think he might be a jester, so I will not vote for him. I think he may have slipped up but obviously need a specific claim to be sure what to do.

First game I ever played with him, never seen him in any other mafia games. Extremely erratic though.

If this is his first game, then his play style could mean anything. He could be noob town that didn't understand when the joke votes were over. He could be noob scum that is far too obvious about trying to prevent any investigating. He could be a noob jester who didn't know not to claim. :-s

I'm hoping for a more serious roleclaim before lynch. If that doesn't happen out of the three possibilities, noob townie would be the worst, but if he's a VT, the impact on town isn't that bad. Noob scum would be perfect, so that's obviously a great outcome. Noob jester isn't the worst Day 1 lynch if we have no other targets as I'm not sure that we have a town vig to take care of him through a NK so I'd call that a neutral result.

So unless we have a solid claim from him, I'm tending to think that his actions so far justify the pressure and his "claim" hasn't helped his case.

I have no soul, Im not kyle (in this game) if you want to believe it, go ahead. you lose i win. very easy for me.

You lose I win? Even if he is a jester, that doesn't mean we automatically lose, game usually goes on. And the only person I can think of who could be a jester is Kenny, but we already have a decent idea who that is. I'm not buying the psuedoclaim as he hasn't made a full nameclaim or a roleclaim.

WHAT THE HELL IS A JESTER!!!!!!!!!

A jester is somebody who wins when they are lynched. In the post I quote below, you insinuate that if lynch you, then you will win and we will lose, much like a jester scenario.

No, clarify by saying who you are (character) and what your ability is (if you have one).

Just got through reading all of the 40k discussion.

mumble mumble

I don't know what to think about it. He may be new to mafia games on CC, as I am. However, his defense of his actions seems weak. Even a noob should be able defend themselves and have a coherent argument.

Can someone please unvote and let the guy claim... 40kguy, while we understand that it's your first game, you're supposed to be learning something from it. As other have stated, you are very close to being lynched, so you go to your last possible defence - you claim (tell us your character's name and what he does, but don't quote the PM).
But... It was so artistically done.

Damn it Chap, you ninja'd me.

Either way, it serves the same purpose. You're at L-2 40k. You need to claim. If you don't do so (convincingly) within a day or two, it's likely that you'll be our first lynch.

And with deadline in about 3 days, the sooner you claim the better because if you wait it out, expect a bandwagon and lynch on Day 2 for stalling. Townies have nothing to hide.

Ok fellas, it's nice to see we aren't scaring off 40k. He's new to all this and unfamiliar with the game so hopeully he will come back and talk to us more about his role. A claim would be nice as it seems you may not be all that truthful with us at the moment. And gosh 40k, I just don't know what to think. I'll be your friend though if you come back in and claim. We all need friends, and I r-remember what it's like to be the new kid. It's kinda scary. B-But it's ok 40k we won't bite. Promise. :)

As much as I'd love to see what happens when we lynch chap...

40k, you have been given some great advice on what to do here. The sooner you can convice us of your role, the better for EVERYONE. Postponing this will only look even more scummie.

Plus if town, it would give us more time to sort out evidence, sure just a day or so, but it is a small game.

Unvote since I'm out of clue juice for the moment.
