As fun a game a risk can be I know there are many other board games I love to play as well. It can sometimes be hard to find others to play these games with sometimes so this is meant to bring us all together so we will have others to play against. So if you're into something simple like checkers or complex like chess or go then this is the place for you.

My favorites are Connect4 and variants, checkers and variants, backgammon, although I am terrible, and occasionally Go.

My only history with Go goes to the extent of reading and watching Hikaru no Go, I could never get into the actual game much. Checkers seems to be relatively 1d but I'd be happy to test my mettle against you lot in Chess. Backgammon is definitely a no-go though

That's actually what got me interested in playing go. That was certainly an enjoyable anime. I kind of wish it didn't end where it did though.

I'll join up. I mainly like chess, but know how to play checkers as well. I enjoy some other board games as well, just depends on what it is. Never played backgammon or Go, hell, I've never actually heard of Go. But I'd probably be willing to learn it...
