Pick Your Partner! [Completed, Won: mkcummins & Evil Semp]

This is going to be a pretty much straight up doubles tournament with a bit of a twist at the beginning. Instead of signing up as a team, you will sign up as individuals and then pick your partner from the pool of participants.

Once the tournament fills up, the top 15 players according to points will pick their partners from among the bottom 16 players. The player with the highest score will pick 1st, second-highest will pick 2nd, etc. The player with the 16th highest score gets automatically partnered with the remaining player from the bottom 16, but may not himself be chosen by one of the top 15. I will determine the order by the points you have when the tournament fills up.

If, after partners are chosen, you wish to give yourselves a team name I will use it, but this is not mandatory.

When you sign up provide a map to be your "home" map. You may also provide a map when partners are chosen.

The teams will then be randomly sorted into an 16-team, single-elimination doubles bracket. The first two rounds will be best-of-three with one game on each team's home map, and one game on a random map. Each team's home map will be the map chosen by the higher-ranked player. The semi-final round will be a best-of-five with two games on each home map and one random, and the finals will be a best-of-seven with three games on each home map and one random.
