Good Luck to anyone still left!!
The bounty winner answered "Mars and Murrie" (on the previous page).
4/1110:55 pm--There will be one more bounty that I will do tomorrow night. I will also start taking games off the board as this round is coming to a close--I will leave some games up through Friday as I am so busy right now I need to make sure everyone has had a chance to play that wants to play and straighten a few things out. Round 5 will start approximately April 22nd. That is my best guess at this time.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.
Just an idea - though I'm unsure how hard it would be to check/administer - but how about a GA medal for the person who eliminates the most players from the tourney?
It would add a bit of spice to the games and also create an environment where participants may want to check the history of their opponents. It may also lead to a faster attrition rate, helping to whittle down the large number of qualifiers each round.

Isn't this a 1v1 tourny? If so, then those who are in the lead will automatically have eliminated the highest no. of players. And I can't quite see how that medal should lead to a faster attrition rate. I'm trying to eliminate as many as I can anyway, at least.

Considering you have 3 chances to qualify, would you grant the medal to 3 players who have defeated you? overall this matters little, so i think the medals in place are great so for.. epic tournament, but wow staggering workload
Not so Roy. With 3 possible games to play per round then it's possible to eliminate 3 players per round (assuming each of those games is the 3rd game lost for the opponents) whereas the person who goes on to win this could have been doing what I was doing (up until I lost) and simply play just one game per round (which not even eliminate the oppo).
Thus it's very feasible (in fact it's likely) that when it gets closer to the final there will be one player who has single-handedly knocked out a great number of players - doing everyone a favour - and yet who in all likelihood won't go on to win the tourney outright. So it seemed to me a good way of giving recognition to someone who obviously did so well, that's all.

Can't see why this should speed up things in the tournament, though. and I believe the no. of wins are already registered, so I don't think the medal adds much anyway.
Anyway, I'm not that interested in the medals anyway - am not sure how many I have even. I'm more interested in the play itself, although I'm kind of frustrated over all the losses I've had lately.

Best is to play one and win that one! That way u advance and u dont give anyone else even a chance!
And for the bounty's,
"First Place 18 month premium Second Place 6 month premium Third—3 month premium Fourth—3 month premium Fifth—3 month premium
Sixth—3 month premium--For now these will be used for something else Seventh—3 month premium--For now these will be used for something else"
I would keep the last one and give a chance to player that finishes 8,9.... dunno till which place do the prizes go but if he doesn't win then the one before him has a chance. That way the ppl who were the closest to wining some kind of a prize get a chance; even the ones that finish lets say 15th could get a crack at a bounty (very slim chance but still a chance)
We've got no-one left on 12 for 12. Here are the undefeated players who are still in and the players who have 11 out of 12 wins. Congrats to Von Kaiser on his most excellent adventure.
