Ramen Noodles

Beef flavor all the way. its 12:00 at night, and all the dining halls are closed, you whip out a (mostly) clean bowl, add water noodles and the powder of flavorful goodness and set the microwave for 6 min. Perfection every time.

rather off-topic, but one time I was making mac and cheese, and dumped all the cheese powder into the boiling pot before I drained it!
Then all the cheese drained away, and we ate bland noodles...

Well then... I guess we all are slightly more, uh, something after that.

It actually brings me back to the day my mom was making some mac and cheese for me. I came in, and saw she was dutifully standing over the stove, and pulling some things out of the pot of water, that the noodles were cooking in. I looked closely to see they were the shells of beetles that had infiltrated the apparently old box of mac and cheese. It was just awesome that she was taking the time to remove the bugs from my food, and I love thinking of it even to day, despite the fact that had she been successful, she'd have been feeding me expired, bug infested food.

Again off topic, but perhaps you'll check your ramen noodles just in case.

In her defense, there's no doubt she was going to miss some of them. They were at the larval stage, and their boiled shells really didnt look like what they were at all. Until say the person that was about to eat them, decided it was worth closer inspection.

Well mine brother whas in japan 4year, and he say that japanese noodles in our country can not compare with original, because these is to much diferent and dont have same taste like original japanese food. I try maybe 20 diferent specialities ( only forget to eat susi) and i must say that its not something that i want to eat every day.

Its the same thing in Korea. Even the trashy noodles that are in the same kind of packages as in America are way better.

yeah, old food can be dangerous. i heard about this one mom who had some old pancake mix laying around, made some pancakes for her son, and the boy said they tasted "funny" but ate them anyway. He got seriously sick and had to go to the hospital. I don't remember if he died from it or not. It turns out that really old pancake mix breeds some type of dangerous mold or fungus that when it gets in your system it is extremely poisonous.

You have good taste in Ramen, my friend. I would say my favorite is shrimp, then probably roast chicken. There's also one that I liked that I forgot the flavor name of because I rarely see it.

Also, I heavily prefer the block noodles. The noodles in the cup seem to have a weird texture and I'm not a fan of all the extra junk they put in them (except the mini shrimps haha).

The person who invented Ramen is a genius.

I too prefer the block noodles. Those cups suck ass.

But, I like to crush up the block before I cook the noodles. I prefer my noodles short. I hate having to slurp them up cuz they're so damn long.

Oriental and Picante Chicken. I've never eaten the other meat flavors (I don't eat red meat anymore and I hate shrimp), and I can't taste the chicken in the picante chicken. I like to add habanero hot sauce to the picante. Delicious.

My mom worked nights, so sometimes, if I was hungry late at night, I would make ramen but with an egg in the soup. It's delicious. You boil the water in a pot like normal. Once it begins to boil, you add the egg, and then put the noodles in right after. Let the noodles cook through like normal, and by the time they're soft, the egg should be fully cooked. It foams like hell though, so occasionally you have to pull the pot of the heat. The boiling egg white cooks into the noodle and makes them extra tasty.

Only do this if you don't mind scrubbing a pan though. It's a bitch to clean out the pot afterward.

Yeah 4 or 5 minutes. Not much longer, as long as you add everything when the water is boiling.

Chillis pretty good, I love spicy flavors. The limes don't sound too good. Never even saw them, all else is good though

Another good thing to do is cook and cut up a chicken breast, toss in with your cooked ramen.. mm

Even better crush up a bunch of saltene crackers and mix in, or use a cracker and pile on some noodles..
