Everyone is set for the start of the season, which begins Tuesday with the LA Galaxy traveling to Seattle to kick off the season...the rest of the league opens the year on Saturday.

I'm working on team schedules/standings etc and will have those posted up on the thread by Monday (I think)

I will have be posting fields for the current week's games that will track the scoring of each match...these will get updated every couple days. Also I will have a stats link, so you can track your individual players during the course of the season.

The March 19 games have been sent...the schedule will be to have the games in your inbox on the morning of the real MLS matchup, so just follow along with the MLS this summer and you'll know when you have an upcoming match or check the schedule links on the top of the thread...these will be updated every week or so.

flex, you do an awesome job of making these things go off in line with the real events.

however, is this format going to work with freemies? just concerned b/c i'm waiting on 4 games against freems, and that seems like a lot of their load to occupy. i'll be happy to trounce them though

Freemiums are required to keep two slots open, and I will be monitoring that closely.

That allows them to join the triples map first, plus be playing through their 1 vs. 1 a game at a time at least. Over the course of a week I'd hope that all those 1 vs. 1s would be completed.

If a player fails to join promptly or lags far behind the pace they will be replaced by a reserve.

Starting to put up early field graphs...half of the March 19 set is posted...the other active games should go up by the end of the weekend. If you still have open maps, let's try to join them soon.

Two notes:
First: I've received approval to award a General Achievement medal to the team that claims the Supporter's Shield (most points gained in the regular season)

Second: After seeing scores beginning to stack up, I've decided to change the triples goalie map to something more simple. Win and your goalie gets +1, loser has their goalie at -1....rounds won't be counted for this map. Losing goalie will be set at 0 if they are able to eliminate at least one of the opposing players.

Field graphics are updated for all active games...nothing has gone final yet. Also reminders have been sent to the few players yet to join their 1 vs. 1 maps.

A couple matches have gone final...most others are close. It's not totally consistent in this last set of fields posted, but white #s in the scoreboard will indicate an ongoing match...when the scoreboard is yellow that will be a final score.

Also, I will be taking down the fields as the season goes on...my goal is to only have the current week's matches up. Past results can be viewed on the team schedule/stat links which will get updated throughout the season.

Hello all, I've been encouraged by Flex to share this new tournament with you.

It is an NFL/American Football style 1v1 tournament with a scoring system similar to Flex's 'by round' scoring in MLS & Little League tournaments. You can submit your team of 3 players or sign up as a Free Agent and be drafted to a team later.
