I don't do many speed games anymore. such a hassle to wall post the guy only to have someone beat him/her into the game, then you have to pm the other person and say SORRY...can you drop please?? or set up another game.

For a lazy guy like me it sure seems like a lot of work!!!!!! :D

Good call Ninja!

I totally agree... yep, what he said!

Except I'm not lazy like Hippie ;) However, a few players that filled the vacant slot before my intended team mate could join have been some real winners! Like one charming partner informed me that I had some nerve to voice my opinion in team chat, especially after he had given me my orders! He then informed me that women aren't cut out to be leaders, that they are to be seen, not heard and if I didn't like it, that I should stay in the kitchen where I belong! That didn't set well with me so I proceeded to inform our opponents that I refused to play with a pig and vacated the game immediately. Similar things have happened too many times and even though I love speeders, it really isn't worth even just a few headaches like the one I just described.

so invites for speeders has got my vote! =D>

I agree with the 5 mins to join option. There are loads of times someone hits your wall with a game number and either you miss the game or end up on team 2.

Simple solution: make it so that the speed invites are only good for 5 minutes instead of 24 hours, same length as the turns.

5 minute idea is best - same length as turns/rounds

Yes, you could even make the time shorter or non-existent. When you join on team 2 or start a team game, before anyone else can join the other slots, a prompt asks you if you have a partner (s) ready to join. You can select then send your invite or reject the opportunity. That slot(s) then get reserved for an agreed upon time limit. 90 seconds, 2 minutes, 5 minutes whatever. after the time expires, the slot can then be joined by anybody, including the intended partner, if he/she missed the window for some reason.

I think even a 60 second window would eliminate 90% of 'unintended partners sneaking in issues".

To me, 5 minutes seems a bit excessive

I think its best then to split the invatations in two: speed and casual that you don't accidentally join a speedgame

this should be an option. I hate joining speed games just to find out my partner missed the game cause someone else joined...usually not a good player then loose.

No point in joining team speed games unless invitation can be sent out.

I like the 5 min limit if that has to be done. or less. if anything have a 30 sec invite.

Agreed. We can send invites on standard games. Why not speed games as well?

Since this has been a general consensus of Yes, I got one last question, since i have limited time.

What do we want it as the expiration? I've seen 30 seconds and 5 minutes.

(That means i'm adding a poll)

Granted I am a freemium so this doesn't really apply to me, but slow internet can cause a page to take almost 30 seconds itself to load. 30 seconds, or even a minute, then is probably not a good idea.

I think 2 mins would be the best option, all the players you want to invite will be online (or at least should be), and at most you'll have to make 3 invites. 30 seconds is much too short and 5 mins is too long, 1 min is decent but 2 would be ideal imo.

I would say no to this suggestion!

Another farming tool.

I don't really look every invite I get.

How many do pay attention?

This is a great idea. I have had several speed dub games that I had to drop and recreate cuz some stray immediately joins as a partner before it was joined by who I wanted. I like 5 mins.

If someone abuses invites then that will be dealt with.

Casual games can also be private, this was no reason not to get the invitation system going.
I see no difference.
