Luck indicator
Luck indicator!
Concise description:
you got a set of 666? well your lucky indicator is going to boost 5 stars!
you have to beg for a 2 since in this game 1 is the average? then your lucky indicator is going to be very very low....
Specifics/Details:
it's going to be a very very stupid average of your dices, based on your current game (in the player statistics) and your playing history (wall).
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
1- take it easy man! you general lost against a cook? at least you can have something to smile about, showing your mates what a terrible lucky indicator you got
2 - stop stupid stories about and comments "you have been so lucky man, you do not deserve to win". sore losers will have to deal with reality, the luck indicator is going to be the sheriff
3 - something funny to chat around "ehy do not attack me I've got a very high luck indicator"

Honestly I would say this is the best idea ever!
How could it be possible it's not in place yet....

Do not triple post in your own threads. Do it again and it will be locked.
Re: Luck indicator
How would this work? Would be average dice an stat on your profile?

Re: Luck indicator
This would be an awesome, awesome addition. I mean, completely pointless, but it would be cool. I feel like it would take a lot of coding though...
I'd think so...it could be with the other stats. I wonder if it's possible to record defensive dice rolls though

Re: Luck indicator
I like this idea.
Also, you might not have to record the actual dice, you could just do it according to what battles you win/lose.
Every time you lose 2 troops it goes down by some formula, when you kill 2 troops it goes up by some formula etc.
And you could normalize it so that 100% is you never lost a single roll in the whole game and 0% is you never won a single roll.

Re: Luck indicator
While the part of the suggestion about current games makes sense. The part about your overall games does not. So long as you have played enough games your "luck meter" should be about average.

Re: Luck indicator
I understand now. Well, this is one of those things which are pointless yet add a lot of flavour to the site. I would definitely like it.
And... It would have a scientific interest. We do know that dices are trully random (or at least so we are told). So... if a player has, let's say an average dice of 2.7 instead of 3.5 this could demonstrate the existence of unlucky people
Likewise, a player with average dice of 4.1 would be a lucky person.
Or... we would see that 99% of players have an average of 3.5. In anay case, something really interesting.

Re: Luck indicator
The thing is though, it is basically already on the site with Dice Analyzer. I would suggest posting in that thread about displaying something in the profile instead.

should be but may not be
i play kdice and they have something like this and if you look at the leaderboard about 95% of them are under 50% with some way below and those over 50% are just over

Re: Luck indicator
Thanks guys for the positive comments!
Actually what I had in mind was something pointless for the game itself, but funny; I believe you got the point.
It could maybe be started with a straight average, or evolve in something more significant (as the deviation of the results from the odds).

A feature we have planned involving the website keeping track and displaying your Dice/Intensity Cube history, can sort of be an indication of your luck vs another! Stay tuned in the next week or two for more about this feature.
