Re: Clickable Maps
My God. A lot of people on here need to take a few chill pills. It was literally implemented for less than 12 hours. Give it some time, lack will try to tackle all of the problems you're having. The only problems I was having was before I realized I had to update my script, but I've been fine since then.
You just have to remember: it's a game on the internet. No need to sprout gray hairs over it.

I'm trying to ignore the clickables update after noting andy's and lack's post. That didn't work. Updated greasemonkey script, that didn't help. It's still attacking the wrong terits, starting turns I didn't want to start, and deploying / reinforcing to the wrong places. I run Firefox, maybe that's the issue or maybe this has something to do with greasemonkey. So, I shut down the monkey and it finally runs okay. Still, that means no scripts at all. QA testing on this update was kind of lack-ing.
I just want this update to go away, no clicking, no auto rolls or deploys, and keep my scripts!
Please mention any bugs in the Clickable maps-thread, or somewhere in the plugins forum. If it works without greasemonkey, it's a greasemonkey script-thing, and I'll have to do something about it.

Re: Clickable Maps
This is a great update for those who want it. Tried it for a few games this morning and found it slowed things down for me. Just not used to it I guess. My solution was to just turn it off. Back to the good old days (yesterday
)
Will give it another go when I have less games and more time to figure it out. Thanks for this, I am sure it will please a lot of people and make a great site better.

And how can I change middle-click to not begin turn, I use it to usually scroll around the page quickly, but if it begins turns...
It can take some time of getting use to.

As what sherkaner said, please mention any bugs in the Clickable maps-thread so they can look into it.
As a reminder from the first page:
lackattack wrote:...Users of the GM-Clickable community script, do not fret - your script will override the built in CC-Clickable and you can play the way you are used to if CC-Clickable isn't your thing. You just need to upgrade your script to the latest version. If there are any incompatibilities that slipped through testing, sherkaner will update the community script in due time. Please report any issues with GM-Clickable here
Users of the BOB community script, please note that it currently disables CC-Clickable. This will probably be fixed in future a version of BOB by sherkaner. Please report any issues with BOB here.

Re: Clickable Maps
Whoever changed the clickable maps is responsible for a lot of stupid errors! I'm mad as hell about this "upgrade"! At least let people choose if they want it, don't change it automatically! I've made vital misstakes in several games thanks to this! Change it back to how it used to be or let people choose if they want the new upgrade! This communist way of force feeding upgrades is a total bummer
!!!
Re: Clickable Maps
First of all, thanks for updating, always good to see that the game is still being improved. But I prefered the old clickables, due to this reason:
Say I hold territory A, the indicator is @ territory B, but I want to attack C. I click C, since I want to attack that, then click it again to obtain it. This double click slows me down terribly since after each attack I have to check wether the indicator is on the territory I want to attack or not. If I do not check where it is I might advance when I don't want to or vice versa.
It may be worth giving players the opportunity to turn the confirmation thing off?

Edit @ last statement: Although old clickies work fine too.

Where was the warning for this? Why is my screen still cluttered with crap I do not want or need?
Poorly done.

Re: Clickable Maps
Again with the complainers... No matter what great updates lack codes for this site, there's always a few sour grapes who are against any change just out of principle.
If you don't want to use clickies, don't use them. The old way of doing things still works.
If you want to use the old greasemonkey clickies, you can use them. Just update your script.
What's the damn problem here?
Where was the warning for this?
Umm.... how about that huge blue sign on my games page that "warns" you about clickable maps?

How do you not use them then?
Anyone trying to play by phone can't .
So much for moving into the mobile market.

This is huge addition to CC, great job!
Re: Clickable Maps
Not like this wasn't around way before yesterday
Some of you guys are just being baggers... Some of us actually care about Winning and losing, because of this update I prob post an important game for a war... And it looks like tons of others have been affected by this too... Next time don't force peeps to have to use the updates like this.... Easy solution

Re: Clickable Maps
A major problem with updates on the site is that there seemingly is very little testing done. If I were to implement updates with little pretesting I'd be fired. Here it seems acceptable to toss out updates with little thought for the paying customers (of which until a couple of days ago I was and this latest update doesn't harbour a reason to sign up again).

Re: Clickable Maps
Just tried not using the new clickable maps. Used my drop down for deployment, because I knew it was a critical turn, and I would be screwed if I deployed to the wrong spot. Selected the correct region from my drop down, and hit deploy - and all of my troops went to a completely different region, the one that had been highlighted by the new clickable maps highlight. Tournament game down the drain.

Also, FYI, I do use BOB and Clickies, and both are fully up to date.

Re: Clickable Maps
Sorry, I get the naggy impression CC gets rather slow in updating scores when I attack or do something now. So I think it should be possible to turn clickies on or off according to one's own choice. Games Settings or something.

Re: Clickable Maps
I can no longer play games because I cannot view the map, so I cannot deploy troops.
