NOTE: If you use the greasemonkey clickable maps, please update your script to version 4.7!
If you don't have a mouse, now is a good time to buy one. Why? Because you can finally play Conquer Club by clicking on the map!
In fact, if your mouse has a scroll wheel that works as a middle button, you can take your whole turn using the mouse! Otherwise you can use keyboard shortcuts along with clicking. Either way, the days of scrolling back and forth between the map and the "Action panel" are finally over.
As written in the instructions:
Instead of using the Action panel, you can play by clicking on the map. Point your mouse over playable regions and follow instructions in the tooltip. Use these shortcuts as well...
N Key: Skip to next game, Jump to next game B Key: Begin Turn E Key: End Deployment, End Assaults, End Reinforcement L Key: Later (decline to play spoils) W,S Keys: Increase/decrease troop quantity (slow) Q,A Keys: Increase/decrease troop quantity (fast) Mouse Wheel: Change troop quantity by scrolling over the selected region. CTRL Key + Click: You can always use CTRL-click instead of the right mouse button. Middle Click: To advance to next stage (Begin Turn, End Assaults, etc.) click the middle mouse button anywhere on the map.
You can always refer to these instructions in the game by clicking on the big?in the Action panel.
If you don't want to use clickable maps, you don't have to. The Action panel is still fully functional.
If the indicators around the selected regions are obstructing your view of the map, you can click on [indicators] in the game to toggle them. There is also an option to make them hidden by default on the Game Settings page.
Thanks to ADAM TJ for suggesting this feature back in 2007. Sorry it took so long! Thanks to the Tech Team, the Team CC Department Leaders, and a few other Team CC Volunteers for giving helpful feedback on how this feature should work. Thanks to UTAlan, Janiv and Tr0y for taking a stab at programming this. Thanks to sherkaner for working hard to make community scripts compatible.
This is version 1.0 of Clickable Maps, and we hope to improve it and address new concerns in a future update.
A few notes about community scripts:
A community greasemonkey script for clickable maps (GM-Clickable) has been around for some time (thanks to edthemaster and sherkaner for making and maintaining this remarkable tool!!). To keep our built-in "CC-Clickable" easy to use (and to get this update done sooner!) some things work differently and we haven't included all the same features.
Users of the GM-Clickable community script, do not fret - your script will override the built in CC-Clickable and you can play the way you are used to if CC-Clickable isn't your thing. You just need to upgrade your script to the latest version. If there are any incompatibilities that slipped through testing, sherkaner will update the community script in due time. Please report any issues with GM-Clickable here
Users of the BOB community script, please note that it currently disables CC-Clickable. This will probably be fixed in future a version of BOB by sherkaner. Please report any issues with BOB here.
Awesome. I wouldn't worry about using Bob with clickies anyways. It usually slows it down or at least the add on ones to the point of not being worth it anyways.
This should save everyone some time making turns and revolutionize the game for those who couldnt use the addons before.
I'm Spanking Monkey now....err...I mean I'm a Spanking Monkey now...that shoots milk Too much. I know.
Just played my first turn with the clickies... it was fun. Not sure if I'm going to use them as I'm a sequential player, but they seem like a neat addition.
