Sometimes the last registrant is the hardest to get...
Re: Initech XXIV: Micro Mania [64/64]
I hear you need a reserve. I'll come in.

Might need you yet... issued a second call to mightgolower. If he fails to join, you're in.

Dude, you are already in. In fact, you tried to register twice before it even started. Do players really just fly through the tournament threads and shout "in please" on all of them? Don't any realize how difficult that can make it for organizers?
Rant over. And, also, registration closed. No more alternates needed for the first round. If any are needed later, I'll take them from the above list, starting with magneto_acolyte.

Game 8670026 is complete. I won! I believe this is RW2, winners bracket. I'm not sure if I understand correctly, but I believe this is the first of the four matches.

Re: Initech XXIV: Micro Mania [64/64]
After 23 tournaments of total futility, I actually have a shot to win one of my own tournaments!
The winner's bracket is complete, with me--somehow--being the only undefeated player.
The three players who survive the next round of the loser's bracket will face me in a 4-player match. I select Greenland as the map.
If I win, I am tournament champion. If anyone else wins, that player and I will faceoff in a 3-match tiebreaker, as described in the first post of this thread.

Re: Initech XXIV: Micro Mania [64/64]
One further update...
We still have one game going in the first round of the loser's bracket, which has prevented one game from starting in the second round.
So, while we know several of the participants in the third round of the loser's bracket and I could start one of the games... I'm going to wait until we're caught up a little. The tournament has been moving at a pretty brisk pace, so I hope no one has a problem with that. Besides, if you don't wait now you're just going to have to wait later!
Let me know if anyone has any questions.

Re: Initech XXIV: Micro Mania [64/64]
Nearly ready to start the last Madagascar game. When that finishes, we can do the three Cyprus games.
It looks like one of the winners from the Madagascar round has left the site. If that's true, I'll offer the spot to the last player eliminated from that game. No real alternative to that plan unless I restructure the size of the games, which is not desirable and not really fair to everyone else.

*brett2000 advances by virtue of being final player eliminated in his game from the previous round, since jotheconqueror has left the site

Championship game sent. If someone other than me wins it, there will be a best-of-three playoff.

Re: Initech XXIV: Micro Mania [64/64]
Took 24 attempts, but I did win one of my own tournaments. Thanks to all who participated in this event. Really busy with Initech XXV, but hope to get a few new tournaments up in the coming weeks.
