XML will be delayed until I find a replacement for the virus factory known as fileden.

Try a real browser, like Chrome, and you'll see that it is apparently a 'dangerous' site which may host infected files. Get the warning all the time on these forums.

Yes, Firefox warned me about it, too. Tools->Options->Security->Block reported attack sites. I chose to ignore the warning, assuming my ZoneAlarm would protect me, but you know what happens when you assume. I got some crap loaded which pretended to be a Windows system tool warning me about spyware and encouraging me to download a tool to clean it up. (hah!)
It even pretended to scan my disk and find 34 infections. I happen to know my computer could never scan my disk in that little time. The Zone Alarm scan takes an hour at least. Zone Alarm did at least warn me about a new program with a ridiculous name trying to go to the Internet, so I blocked that and searched for the filename and wiped that too. I think I am clean now.

I've never had such problems with fileden, but I use adblock so I don't get these things in most places.

...ok, I checked it, and it seems someone has hacked fileden and added some kind of malware on it. I'm going to wait until they repair it before using it.

Meanwhile, ripway is another good hosting site.

...ok, fileden's facebook page indicates that they are aware of the problem and are working to fix it:

We are currently working on a security issue. All your files are safe. Updates will be posted on here as they come in.

Ok, since this is the thread I've posted the reports in, Fileden is working normally again and is safe to use. They were indeed hacked by someone, but they have said they're improving their security to prevent this from happening again.

So sorry to leave this untouched so long, but I got slammed at work, and spent the weekend helping a relative move to a new apartment. Now that fileden has been healed and cleansed, I can try to put the XML and some test results online. Of course, the folks at home have been waiting for my time as well, and tax time is approaching, so it may be the weekend before I make much progress here.

Well, I haven't had time to put together any test images with the Mapmaker XML Tool, but here is a version of the XML for those who are keen:

I tested 888 with the xml you posted....I think that maybe I should add some more light to the castle/cities...gray numbers are a bit hard to distinguish. No?

Yes.

Also, is it just me, or do you use two different kinds of grey?

yes, the grey numbers are bad visible. also name Mitau is under number a little, it could be a little moved.

Wenden is like Mitau. Do you want me to move the numbers on all the castles up one pixel, or will you move the names on the graphic where they need it? Moving the number up would cover more of the nice details on the castles, like the buttresses, which would be a shame.

this edits are on nobodies. I hope he will help with them... and I think better could be to move names.

I'm slowly working on the changes, trying to find something good for a better visualization of gray numbers..i thought about army circles, but they don't loook so good.
Anyway for some 888 i think it's easier to move the coords than the territory names.
I should be able to post an update in 2 or 3 days. :)

@thenobodies80: If you post new images without those grey numbers pasted on, I can run 888 tests with the XML tool.

Well, I did some quick checks and the large will need some numbers moved onto those new ovals. Sadly, I don't have time this evening, but I will post results when I have this done. Also, there don't seem to be any ovals on the small map. If these are to be added, then I will wait for them before updating the XML, so that both large and small map coordinates can be corrected all at once.
