Tehnicaly,we are new in name, all other are same( like lubawski notice)
I dont know what will be decision, but if we are eligible for play, you can use results from L4D,because these is our history results.

Can we please get one uniformed decision from the WildGeese on what you all want to do. I was informed by others that you all are a new clan and do not carry any connection with L4D. This post says it is just a name change. If you all consider it only a name change and carry all of the stats and records that go with L4D, that is one thing. If you are a new clan with a new record, that is another thing.

well i dont know what to say, these is what i feel. We have all active member of L4D, with reinforcment from BPB and Nemesis(3 or 4 i dont quite sure), we change name, but personaly i dont leave clan, for me its more or lease same clan, with diferent name. I can not forget mine results, like newer hepend, and if Leaders of clan say, that we are completely new clan, without any clan war history, then i dont know for what parameter you can use to play in ConquerCup,because we dont have any clan record with new name, and we dont fulfill all required things for CCup.

I'd say let wild geese play, if only because they all come from previous clans and are not liable to dissolve as a result of the Cup.
It's not like they're a bunch of no names that have just started in the clan world.

The problem becomes consistency. If a clan with "no history" of clan wars is let in, then all clans that would like to participate but have not met the requirements would have a pretty big ax to grind if they aren't let in. I don't think anyone doubts they would handle it just fine, but it's more a matter of staying within the rules for eligibility.

So maybe it's an indication that a more flexible set of rules are needed?

Same thing happened to TOFU when it was formed. Irrespective of the wealth of experience of its members (7 ex-LoW) we had to start in Div.2 of the Clan League. We didn't have a problem with that in the slightest, however it did create an imbalance in Div.2 results.

This right here says it all, in my opinion. Since Wild Geese are not the exact lineup of L4D (in that they have added members from other clans), they should not be allowed to claim L4D's record as their own.

No more than it did this season of the League though, Si? You went 65-15 in Div 2, 67-22 this season. Not a huge difference to my eyes.

I completely understand the consistency issues, but new clans also are definitely not in the same position as wild geese. To me that trumps the consistency of the old rule and sets up consistency for a new one.

KORT, TOFU, Wild Geese(to a lesser extent) We all had past clan members, and such. We all had to wait. They can also.

i agree... they have absolutely no history of performance and that matters. as it stands, we could have 20 clans form in the morning and try to get in, just because they can. the wild geese can wait like the rest of us did, they aren't special, they are just a new clan with no track record...-the black jesus

Huh, alright. I just figured since I think around 100% of them were in clans very recently that an exception could be made, but oh well.

I agree with the dark prophet. CC needs consistency and I have just the metamucil:

I suggest a Steel Cage Match to consist of 30 games, all 2 vs 2 vs 2.

Wild Geese vs
lolkittens' "I need people for mah new clan *become high ranks*" vs
The Evil Paratroopers of London

3 clans enter, 1 clan leaves...
3 clans enter, 1 clan leaves...
3 clans..

It's not like it's a CC rule. It's a tourney and so it's the organiser's rule.

I don't recall any exclusions being made in C.Cup I, so why implement them now?

A clan is a clan. If they're not worth their salt then they won't get beyond the qualifiers.

The problem with exceptions to the rule is if all came from clans let them in, so if 4 clans had ppl leave to combined a new of 25% membership of each clan (is: clan 1 clan 2 clan 3 clan 4 all contribute 25% of new clan A) would they get in?

What if half of clan A has members all from same clan and 50% new members? You just open the door for all kinds of "what if" scenarios. If u wanted to be treated like L4D and have the history count for L4D, then those "few new members" should be added to L4D not disband and make a new one.

No?

We're on the fence. I think the problem, for many clans, is that ccup is just so long. Other clans have skipped cla and ccup2 because they are still playing in ccup1. It cannot eat up the entire year, its a really big commitment. We still have not come to a conclusion, but I'll say that the biggest stumbling block is just how long the cup is.

We're still playing cla. Just a thought, for ccup administrators (empire) to consider. You could cut a few wars shorter. Round 1 20 games, round 2 40 games? Get this thing done in 8 months or so, before cla. Just my thoughts, hopefully someone from tsm will give an definite answer before friday.

P.s. Would like to play low again soon too : )

timeframe which Chuuuck suggested I think is good, and better fits than the last one of CCup1, which was really too long, but i think this time we will be on time with schedule. some overlapping is hard to avoid, but probably here will not be 32 clans signed up, so top clans will then get round of 32 bye, so i dont think it will be a lot of overlapping.

If there was some kind of quasi-guarantee that it would be over by september or october, I think monki's would be in. What is the projected time frame anyway, I'm too drunk to look it up right now?
